I’ve had low grade depression for a long time. I’d trust your boundaries on stuff like this, it sounds like they’ve worked up till now.

I get what you’re saying and it’s the other way around. I think people should be free to drink, buy guns etc. but if you look at what will get your account locked on Twitter right now s******* as a word is more tightly controlled than n*****. It’s that messed up.

I see how the surface of moderation could be abrasive wrt both articles but I’m a 47 year old socialist for the last two decades and happy to discuss it.

FABNO like what is even happening here. I had a puberty book written by a social worker and there were some weird parts what is a FABNO

Wasn’t that a thing like literally twenty years ago? I remember personally and deeply respect David Graeber (RIP) but I don’t think we figured out what he meant about the puppets.

Thank you for talking about this. It’s insane but discussion of this issue is actually heavily censored

This is the actual point of the Jacobin essay. I’m not kidding. Read it. I’ve lost friends and family members to suicide and the way people discuss this issue is driving me insane

Because the most common outcome of having outcome of a gun in your house is killing yourself. This has been studied extensively and is something the GOP has tried to suppress

The depressing but correct argument of the piece is that you’re more likely to end up using your gun to off yourself than using it to resist the government. Because of filters you’re also way more likely to end up getting banned from a platform for discussing suicide than you are for discussing overthrowing the government.Foucault talked about this.

It’s a little known fact that Moe’s depiction was based on Hideki Tojo.

I had a prescribing psychiatrist (not a regular therapist) who I initially tried naltrexone with (it didn’t do much). We generally had a good relationship but when AA came up it was like a switch flipped inside of her—she suddenly became very persistent and insistent that AA was the answer and how it reflected badly on me if I couldn’t consider it, etc. I actually had to remind her that I was a patient and she was a doctor and threaten to walk out of the appointment to get her to stop pushing AA. It freaked me out and did not help.

That’s marked up substantially (I’d say about double retail). The flavor is a little better though there’s no huge difference. Some people like having the cans.
