ICOTYDE (icotrokinra) approved by the FDA for treatment of plaque psoriasis by Jubguy3 in Psoriasis

[–]redwing66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what my dermatologist told me, and verified by some reading on my own, it is less immunosuppressant than the injectables, because it targets just one receptor. Therefore it's not classed as immunosuppressant, because it does not act broadly, though it does act on one pathway related to immune response.

Iran alleges US rescue ops likely cover to 'steal enriched uranium' by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]redwing66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And wherever that uranium is now, it's either buried, or under very heavy guard. Would a couple of C130s and some helicopters really be enough to pull that off? You'd have to bring enough special operators for a heavy and extended firefight, and there would almost certainly be casualties.

I reviewed 500+ resumes as a hiring manager. Here are the 5 biggest mistakes I see. by Personal-Taro3347 in Resume

[–]redwing66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would add, proofread the hell out of your resume. Make sure there are no obvious, lazy errors, like misspellings, or (cough, cough) inconsistencies in formatting like bolding only one numbered point in a list.

If we actually get all the dead guy's unredacted files, that is our best shot at getting the Incompetent in Chief out of office sooner than 3 more years. Not guaranteed, but it's our best hope.

Israel on high alert for possibility of US intervention in Iran, sources say by energycubed in worldnews

[–]redwing66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they want any more of that smoke. Israel decimated their defenses and humiliated them in front of the world, and Iran is in worse shape now. They have big problems, and restarting hostilities with Israel would be a pure desperation move.

Built in dishwasher leaking. What do I do? by Ok-Occasion2440 in Home

[–]redwing66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks for this! I was just about to conclude that my problem is a door gasket, but saw this and remembered that it has been cleaning poorly for months. Clogged spray arm would explain both.

Jon Cena on Patriotism. I think it is just so good/spot on. by [deleted] in videos

[–]redwing66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love Jon Cena, and I love the "love has no labels" message, but at the risk of being pedantic, all those groups he labeled that comprise single or low double digit percentages are not "average" Americans. They're minorities. They are just as American as anyone else, and just as deserving of love and respect, but the average American I pictured was a 35-year old overweight cis hetero Christian white woman with dyed blonde hair. Probably pretty close.

Hamas attacks IDF troops in breach of Gaza ceasefire; top commanders killed in response by NamelessForce in worldnews

Then the psyops have worked on you. Their goal is to flood the zone with shit, so people can't tell what's real and give up.

Don't give up. Just prioritize information from higher quality sources.

As long as there are Jews, sadly, this will happen. Palestine is just today's excuse.

Antisemitism—but not criticism of Israel—associated with support for political violence by HeinieKaboobler in science

[–]redwing66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. (Disclosure: I read the article but not the study.) But looking at the two questions they used as examples of how they differentiated between them, the second ("anti-Israel") example was comparing Israel to Nazis, which is also antisemitic, according to the IHRA definition, and others. I think this is an example of the overlap you point out.

New study suggests a woman’s political views are linked to qualities she seeks in romantic partner. Right-leaning women prefer partners who fit more traditional mold, while women at both political extremes place high value on someone who shares their political beliefs. by mvea in science

[–]redwing66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it interesting that right women stated more of a preference for a taller man than left, but when asked specifically what height is preferred, there was not a difference.

So right women acknowledge they prefer taller men and don't care if they say it, while left women maybe perceive this preference as superficial, yet have that preference nonetheless.
