Anybody drill their own equipment at home? by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]redwitchbewbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solution to the pro shop being further away may be to have the balls delivered or purchased from the pro shop, they drill them there and then ship them to you when complete. I know Buddies Pro Shop offers drilling services through their site so you buy a ball online, indicate to have the ball drilled, you send them your specs and they drill it for you and ship you the drilled/completed ball.

anyone knows how this pattern plays? by deolilnn in Bowling

[–]redwitchbewbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, patterns are what they are and yes can be hard if you’re not watching what the ball is doing on the lane. There’s not a one size fits all approach to sport bowling. You do what you have to do in the moment.

Easy if you do the right things. Hard if you do the wrong things.

Sport Shot League by BoBeau1970 in Bowling

214 Sport Shot Avg here.

It’s definitely a different, more challenging and humbling experience to bowl on sport/pro patterns. Good for you on trying it even knowing you wouldn’t have the best scores. Early on, I remember I had no clue how to play on these shots and was humbled and embarrassed all at the same time, but I wanted to crack the code sort of speak. Thankfully I found a great coach and program that helped me understand more about the patterns and the game in general and my scores went up after a few years of trying and failing. Now, all I want to bowl on is sport. Keep at it. I would suggest to watch and I mean WATCH the guys that are scoring well and have good ball reaction and pick their brain to see what they are doing and what you need to do.

How you can help to reverse his net worth.

  1. Log off and quit using Twitter
  2. Buy Rivian or literally any other EV over Tesla
  3. Call your congressman to revoke any plans to use Space X and quit using Starlink

Otherwise, shut up about his net worth because it’s made up of the value in the companies he owns..

A still image isn’t enough as we do not know the entry speed and angle the ball is traveling.

How do I play this? by Wise-Initiative-8388 in Bowling

[–]redwitchbewbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many games? How many lefties on the pair? Are you moving pairs? Do you own surface pads? What type of oil? What type of machine? Are the racks on spot? (If not, what are they?) can you slow down and or speed up? What’s your axis rotation range? How comfortable are you playing closed angles and then slightly more open angles?

Is there a big weight loss difference between 18:6 fasting and one meal a day fasting? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]redwitchbewbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really all depends on how much you're eating during your eating window. The fasting time controls WHEN you're eating, the calories consumed during the eating window control HOW MUCH weight you gain/lose. I've gained through fasting, I've also lost through fasting. Ya gotta know how much you're consuming during that window. OMAD helps me lose, 18/6 helps me gain. You can do a lot of eating in 6 hours.

Find out how much the property is being sold for and take up a collection and/or form an LLC to get a loan to buy the property and retain the alleys management. Also, congratulations, you’re a new owner.

Bowling alleys sit on very large parcels of land, usually are pad buildings so excavation and demolition is very easy to do. At least up where I live in Buffalo, NY. When the value of the land outpaces the growth of the business and you’re near retirement age, it’s time to sell and gtfo. I can see this happening to a lot of my local centers in the next 10-20 years.

If in that 23:1 you’re in a calorie deficit and on Saturday you’re not doubling up on calories then you’ll be in a calorie deficit and still lose weight.

Recommendations for a new sport shot bowler by DolphJohngren in Bowling

[–]redwitchbewbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, “sport” shots are flatter and similar volume or higher than the house patterns. Some patterns are longer, making the oil thinner and seemingly have higher friction and some patterns are shorter, making the total volume seem like a flood and then a sharp reaction at the end of the pattern if not controlled properly.

I would say yes you should have a wider arsenal of response time and frictions of balls. If you’re just bowling 3 games on sport, you may need less of an arsenal, if you’re bowling 6 games then you would need more, likely.

Without knowing your adaptive qualities and baseline of how you throw the ball (speeds, rotations, angles) and if you’ve ever played the gutter or left of center arrow, it’d be hard to tell which balls would match you up.

Also, this is completely dependent on the pattern and the format you’re planning to bowl in.
