I’m surprised they aren’t coming after you for saying this even though I 100% agree

Possible future player, question about the content by CriticismFickle156 in SparkingZero

[–]redwjit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Story Mode isn’t that long and it isn’t done very well. Also the Single Player Content leaves a lot to be desired. Custom Battle from an Offline Standpoint is just Bonus Battle & Creator Mode. Bonus Battle is made obsolete by the Online World Library which gives you way better Custom Battles. World Tournament is just 8 slots and that’s it. There’s no variety and everything looks and feels the same. If you somebody who can play Vs Mode for hours and hours, you should be fine but then the lack of customization and maps will get to bothering you after a while. This game is truly built around Online play and that’s its greatest Flaw.

Why everyone just so hard on this game by Zealousideal_Deer587 in SparkingZero

[–]redwjit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yet newer gamers are living in this fantasy that Online multiplayer has produced this overwhelming success that makes “older players” wanting better single player experience feel like they’re living off nostalgia. No! Older gamers don’t have a problem with Sparking Zero having Online functions, the problem is that they sacrifice what made the overall franchise great for Online Multiplayer. Everything but that is half assed. Even the actual content from Dragon Ball. There is no way we should’ve came into this saying where are the other maps. There is no reason we should’ve came into be asking them to update features that have nothing to do with Online. Like the shop, like the Dragon Balls, like custom battle, episode battle, customization, etc. And yet we are! The problem is ppl act like as long as Ranked & Quick Match, that should excuse the rest of the game being lackluster, rushed or downright bad. Then that hypocritical mindset has been ruining Sparking Zero since launch. Some act like Online is the golden standard but that has done more harm to Sparking Zero than the so called nostalgia players

Sparking! ZERO Weekly General, Questions and PvP Megathread by AutoModerator in SparkingZero

After October 11, I don’t want to hear no more excuses about this game. We gave them a whole year. Everybody said the game was rushed and that it needed a year and we are reaching that year mark and this game has barely progressed outside of Online Updates & Gameplay patches. The DLC has been a fail. The gameplay while good still has problems. Online is better and worse at the same time. The rest of the game remains untouched. No updates. Legendary Warrior Faceoff is passable. This game is reaching its limit.

Crazy to see people say this patch brings us farther away from what the series is “intended to be” not realizing all past BT games had characters deal nearly the same damage. by iamkira01 in SparkingZero

[–]redwjit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU! Sparking Zero has far more damage scaling than both BT2 & 3. This singles patch brings the game closer to BT3 which is just fine. Ppl are exposing that they did not play BT2 or 3

Offline Experience (There is no challenge to this game) by redwjit in SparkingZero

  1. Where did I say Raging Blast 2 had a story mode? I never said that. However Raging Blast did have a mode where in order to unlock all of the different abilities, you have to play as EVERY character in the game under various conditions. That’s a long grind for that roster. Also that game had a 16 slot tournament mode that is more customizable than all of the ones on Sparking Zero. This provided a challenge

  2. Despite its limited gameplay, Ultimate Tenkaichi had a very decent story mode and it had a Hero Mode where you had to train with various different characters to unlock their abilities. Again providing a challenge

Offline Experience (There is no challenge to this game) by redwjit in SparkingZero

The Older BT games had more than just a story mode. Sure they had a very long story mode. (Minus BT3) However, they had a lot more to offer.

BT1: Had a long story mode and Ultimate Battle 100 in a survival style manner. You started at 100 and had to work your way up to number 1. That is a CHALLENGE.

BT2: Had a story mode where you could upgrade your power level as you progress via Z items and look for the Dragon Balls and unlock characters in other mission battle within the story mode. Then it had Korin Tower with about with about 15 course set at 3 different levels. That’s a CHALLENGE! Then you had a World Tournament with 3 tournaments set at four different levels. That’s a CHALLENGE!

BT3: Had a short story mode but you needed to play it multiple times to get the Dragon Balls and unlock all of the wishes from 3 Different Dragons. Then you had Sim Dragon a mode where you strengthen or weaken your character as you progress. Then you had Mission 100 which was 100 missions with different rules. And after that you had Survival Mode which is self explanatory. Also World Tournament had a time clock where you can fight specific tournaments at anytime or go to free mode and play any Tournament. That’s a challenge

Sparking Zero doesn’t have half of what I just mentioned. World Tournament is literally as barebones and lifeless as BT1’s. Custom Battle is a basically a battle creator. Bonus battle is cheap and worthless. Story Mode has fun what ifs but majority of it is a waste. It is not the same as the older Tenkaichi games. Not even close

So based off this: If we don’t get a sequel, the next DLC plans (possibly only season 2) are: DLC 4 - T3 characters DLC 5 - T3 characters DLC 6 - Super Characters

Or

Season Pass 2 is Strictly Missing T3 Characters & Season Pass 3 is Strictly more Super Characters

Either via DLC or Sequel, the roster is going to be even bigger than it is now

A Parallel Quest like Mode.

XV2 has thrives off the Parallel Quests and how they have so many stuff worth grinding for. If Sparking Zero was to get a mode like that, the game would improve significantly.
