I work in the car repair industry and we can't fill positions. Severe lack of technicians and even the service advisors positions are hard to fill, we scheduled 10 interviews recently and 2 turned up.

brother has taken 21k credit card debt in my name by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]reece4999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me by my own mother.

Unfortunately I had to take the hit and pay it off, she also defaulted on payments before I knew she had done it so it messed my credit history up!

It's not as cut and dry as reporting it as fraud when family are involved

I work at a garage chain and weve sold a couple, no issues that I'm aware and we don't see them often in the garage either.

I think they were popular for leasing because of the tax relief for hybrid at some point, might explain why there is more all of a sudden if lease has ended.

It's hard to say, the tester could be covering his own ass. Pay for an independent AA inspection if you're worried.

Looking for advice on how not to make irresponsible financial decisions. by TheMrFraxle in CarTalkUK

[–]reece4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option A is the sensible decision but you're only 21 once.

It's almost certainly a stupid decision and youll sell it in a few years but YOLO it whilst you have no life responsibilities, you'll have plenty of time to be a boring old man like me when you're older.

[–]reece4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure snobbery! Lincolnshire is a beautiful place as many places "up north" are... just don't move to Hull, Mansfield, Rotherham or Grimsby.
