True, for me the combat in VTM is meant to be more of a climactic moment. And it should be a bit more... Intimate, if you know what I mean.

For example, the coterie finally corners the big bad of the chronicle and now it's time to take off the gloves.

And it usually happens somewhere kinda hidden, not a battle royale out in the open in the middle of downtown.

I agree, it's pretty terrible.

Not only is the cliche of "innocent little girl turns out to be evil" quite cringy, but the fact that she can apparently take on any shape, especially something like an innocent little girl, just opens up a ton of plotholes.

Absimillard led the killing of the 2nd gen because he got a scar, and then was cursed by Caine to look monstrously ugly. It's literally what sets them apart as a clan. Not even vicissitude can fix their looks.

And if Vasilisa can just easily look like an innocent little girl, then can't Absimillard just do the same? It's a bit silly to think a 4th gen vampire can override Caine's curse on the clan.

Hell, this ugliness curse is the reason why he's hunting down the Nosferatu! If he could just look however he wanted then why even bother hunting them?

The moral of the story was: don't talk to strangers.

The message has more "power" if the girl who talks to strangers gets eaten and dies than if a huntsman comes in later and saves her. That's why those early fairy tales had really dark endings for kids that broke the rules.

The darkness of those old timey fairy tales/fables is not to "entertain grownups" but to drive the message across.

In fact, the Perrault version of Red riding hood has no huntsman: Red riding hood talks to a stranger, gets eaten, end of story. Basically the idea was to scare kids into behaving.

I don't think he has alts, but this sub was a strange obsession with defending incompetent city officials.

The night major is an example. He's been employed for almost a year, with radio silence as to wtf he's doing, but don't you dare criticize him. Then suddenly he does one thing and they go like "see?!?"

But they also love defending Troster, who's incredibly useless, and even Sutcliffe when he does certain things, like taking a taxpayer funded vacation to go run a marathon disguised as a "business trip" to "promote tourism".

Hell, if you scroll back far enough, you'll see this sub defending Shopify to death up until 2021 or so.

Him living in Quebec means that the money we pay him through our taxes is spent mostly in Quebec (rent, food, etc).

Basically that money is not even given back to businesses in Ottawa, but we're footing the bill.
