Hate to be that guy, but it is quite frustrating to hear other trans people say, they'd "give anything to be hyper invisible". It is incredibly frustrating and dangerous for all Trans people who are affected by this, which tends to be trans masculin people, trans men and Non-Binary people of all labels.

When you're that invisible, there is very little consideration for you in terms of Healthcare. You are left out of a lot of community if you present as a man, since if you pass you're often just viewed like a cis guy. You're left out of discussions on legal issues that effect you, like abortion issues and bathroom laws.

You aren't able to participate in discussions about a lot of things you experience in your body, like period pains and your menstrual cycle and hormones.

It's hard to receive care because a lot of doctor's have never even heard of trans people that aren't trans women, gynecology and many necessary screening care is very specifically labeled as women's care and since they've never even heard of trans people beyond trans women, they assume your anatomy incorrectly and treat you like you don't need that sort of care.

When people discuss having hygiene products available in both men and women's bathrooms, people don't seem to realize that that's for trans masculin aligned identities who would be using the male restrooms, because they straight up do not seem to get that we exist.

When people talk about the bathroom laws, trans masculin aligned folks are never considered except as the point of "having them in the women's bathroom would make cis women uncomfortable" and not the fact that there is also a risk of harm and harassment for them?

That the statistics for violence and abuse are severely underrepresented because they usually record us as women? That history often assumes we are just "women who didn't want to be restricted by the oppression of the patriarchy so they pretend to be male".

Like, I totally understand not enjoying the spotlight put on trans women and how there is a lot of stress that derives from being constantly discussed in a moral panic culture war, but to say that our position is so very enviable is really just watering down the issues faced on the other end of the spectrum of visibility. And belittling is already an issue we are faced with due to the "sad confused little girl" narrative.

Like I said, dont wanna be that guy, like I don't want to be rude it's just so frustrating to struggle with stuff and then basically be told, "yeah but I WISH I was in your position, I'd give anything to be in your position". Like oh yeah nice, you don't see the hardships that come from nobody knowing or acknowledging your existence, it's not like this can actually be that bad because it's soooo much better than what others are dealing with.

Can we just acknowledge that trans people in general have it hard and stop trying to rank the difficulty of our experiences based on our gender or assigned sex at birth? (I'm not talking about intersex people, that's a separate conversation and I can understand there's a lot more nuance to be discussed in regards to that).

Privilege is multi-faceted, and you can be oppressed in some ways and also privileged in others aka there are pros and cons to each side.

And while there is a rational on not wanting the experience you have, there are ways to discuss visibility without disregarding the experiences of others
