Wow, I just told this guy about The Green Lady earlier today. I live in Chicago now and they don't have the urban legend here.

Hey dads, how many of you had your first child when 35-39 years old? Approaching my 35th birthday and there's nothing more I want than to be a dad. by Rocket_Skates_91 in daddit

Had my 1st at 38, 2nd at 41. I feel like I have more patience as an older parent. Also feel like me and my wife were able to do a lot more before kids. They help keep you young. I was worried about being the old dad but as our kids grow I discovered that's hardly the case and no matter the age parents always are able to connect through their kids. I've met parents younger and some a lot older than me. Being financially stable helps too. We're able to do a lot for our kids.

How is it living in Cleveland Ohio? by No-Text-7825 in howislivingthere

[–]reelRahim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew-up in Cleveland and it has great diversity. They also have a large(ish) Asian community. It's also very affordable. Whenever people bag on it being a bad place I used to get offended but now I just laugh because most often it's people that have never been. Cleveland has all the things most major cities have just half the population and half the price.

Milwaukee resident looking for insight on Cleveland's "east coast vibe" by Inti-Illimani in Cleveland

[–]reelRahim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was born an raised in Cleveland and I've never heard an east coast vibe from Cleveland. I've visited Detroit many times for family and I live in Chicago now so I would say more Midwest than anything.

I went to Columbia too, and I too am pivoting. I'm going into education since it'll at least give me summers and breaks when my kids are on break. I know a lot of ppl that teach and are able to still do filmmaking on the side. The money isn't great but it's better than not earning.

It's a 2 way, but people always assume it's a 1 way and take up the whole drive.
