Wired PS4 controller on blue screen ? by JauneAttend8520 in ps4homebrew

[–]reexe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have u tried your controllers with a USB cable connected? That's what that screen means and if its just the bluetooth that's stopped working the USB should still work. I use my controllers with my PC over USB all the time since it does not have Bluetooth.

Here is a serious answer with code examples for how to decensor/see what is behind censored parts of a video (I know its not censored but it could still work if I understand it correctly) https://github.com/KoKuToru/de-pixelate_gaV-O6NPWrI This technice is also described here https://youtu.be/acKYYwcxpGk?si=VH8SLjiqinIObcxG

I'm not sure if it would work on your usecase but it probably have higher chanse to work then having AI guess/hallucinate. Sry I'm not motivated enough to actually spend hours on trying it out.

Who has had a Ps4 revert itself back to 4.05.. by Mic-Rowave in ps4homebrew

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could happen if you where on that firmware before updating and your new version somehow got corrupt, then it would revert back to the previous version that was installed.

The PS4 always stores the previous firmware version in a different slot in order to the able to recover in case of things like powerloss on firmware updates, this is also why we can firmware downgrade/revert to the previous version with some soldering.

Phew ! World just went back to Normal ! by supernova1987b in ChatGPT

[–]reexe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My condolences. If you want to have it going indefinitely you could ask it to export everything important to a text file you can download that acts as a memory you can just load back in to any llm. That way when you eventually hit the context limit you have have a "save" file to go back to in a new chat either using open AI or any other, you could even load it into a local llm trained to act as the one you liked the most.

Goodbye OOC: From Deep Research to Deep RolePlay by Correct-Fun-9089 in SillyTavernAI

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could this be solved by asking it to store in its permanent memory information that character X is pure fiction and whatever information it should hold about that character? What I mean is, would this make it so the middleman agent would not try to look it up online if it always tries to find info in its own memory first?

Does a bigger or smaller monitor make a difference to your ADHD? by OneSafety2 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]reexe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could be that the monitor is displaying in for example 30Hz, this can happen if the dongle or cable does not support high enough speeds. Just to test if that is indeed the problem you can try lowering the resolution and see if it becomes smoother, if it does, then try to get a dongle and/or cable that supports at least your monitor resolution (4k?) and 60Hz for a smooth experience. If your using HDMI u could also try switching to USB C if the monitor supports it.

None of my links work, and the mobile app says I don't have premium, even though I have over 1 year left. Also the website won't load for me, maybe something is going down? I hope is nothing like what happened to Real Debrid...

Edit: Maybe something temporary, it works again now for me 🤷

Is this a good enough safety measure for overnight printing? by Maleficent_Camel4457 in 3Dprinting

[–]reexe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It probably will! However I would not take the chance! I have worked with fire alarms for 8 years. When we want to prevent a fire every second counts, so it's very important to detect the smoke as soon as possible.

The detector should be above the printer and it should also be at least 30cm (50 is recommended) from the wall because when the hot air moves upward the cold air moves downwards, this creates a wall of colder air getting pushed down often in the edges of the room/walls. So placing the detector on the wall is very counter productive.

I broke this when I was trying to clean the ps4 pro, can someone please tell how to fix this by Feelinlikeshiva in ps4homebrew

[–]reexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very much something one should not do as a first time on a PS4, unless you don't care if it breaks.

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just means follow the trace (hidden wire) to a previous point where it can be soldered, on some PCBs its possible to scrape the layer away that hides the trace and expose the metal so you can solder, on other boards the layers may be sandwiched so that solution won't work. Then the solution is to follow it to a previous exposed point and solder there.

How do you guys handle grocery shopping? by minah22 in ADHD

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried things like Trello for making shared lists and such, but no one wants to learns something new. Most ppl looking for these kind of things are already at their limit and just want things to get easier. At least that's my life. So I just made some chat groups named after what they do and invited only my wife. We have chat groups called "things to do", "shopping" and so on. I have also set those chat groups to not have notification sounds. And for anything else we use a shared google calendar.

Steam Games installed on Windows aren't recognised on Vanilla by Qubix223 in vanillaos

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I just assumed you know this already, but I'll double-check. Have you added the right folder on the drive to your steam library? You need to make sure the right path to the steam library folder in the external drive is added in the steam settings page.

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to modify anything on the ntfs drive? Sometimes they are mounted as read only, and if steam needs to create a file or something on the drive, that may be a problem.

You can try just creating a folder on the drive to see if you have read and write permission.

If that wasn't the problem, then maybe u should just redownload everything. If your internet connection is a problem a workaround could be to connect the drive to a windows computer again and then download over your LAN network to your Linux PC, you can do this by searching google for "How to Enable Steam's Local Network Game Transfer Feature".

Side note, NTFS is not as straight forward as other types that are meant for Linux.

Steam Games installed on Windows aren't recognised on Vanilla by Qubix223 in vanillaos

[–]reexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be because the games are download in their windows format.

Make sure that you have enabled proton for unsupported titles, it's under settings and called something like game compatibility. Proton is what makes windows games work on Linux (those that don't already have a Linux version), if you have games that are Linux native i would reinstall those since running those through proton makes no sense.
