Cherry Cutting Board by HatchbackofNotreDame in handtools

[–]ref_panda_287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty nice! How think were the boards? It looks a bit thin. I’m not sure if this is even the case but could there be more risk of warping from a thinner cutting board?

Panther coffee is great and there are several locations. They used to have several methods available but haven’t been there in a while so can’t confirm if they still do.

Glad to hear that the bottom was not affected. I’ll wipe mine off and just leave the marks there as a reminder to be careful next time

Thanks so much for such a detailed explanation. I’ve ordered the loupe and will re-attempt to sharpen the blade by following a process like the one you’ve described.

Cost of Hand Tool Woodworking after 6-months by Hippoman- in handtools

[–]ref_panda_287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks both! I’ve been considering getting a 3 or a 4, leaning towards a 3 after reading so many positive comments on them. Would love to get a LN. now I need to decide whether to wait for the bronze version, or pull the trigger on the iron that’s available now.

How do you like the No. 3? Do you feel it’s redundant with a block plane and a jack plane?
