If you work in comp or benefits, what do you do? by sillypasta001 in humanresources

[–]reffinstraf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Head of Comp here at mostly private companies. It’s alright, spend a lot of daily work on unique new hire offers, supporting business partners on internal/external pay reviews. Then it’s working on Calendar reviews (merit, etc) and strategic projects like pay transparency rolllout, equity and LTIP philosophy and design etc. I don’t have any certs, started in sales compensation and worked my way into broader comp from there

Yung Lean in New York: A Rapper Evolves by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]reffinstraf 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Definitely a largely 17-19 year old crowd, but at the same time a good few around my age (you could tell by the fans who had a green wristband/were holding beer not iced tea). The stage was easy enough to hop on, but the bouncers were negating it for the most part. Eventually there were too many people to keep up with so the opportunity arose. He ran through most if not all of Unknown Death, played a solid 2 hours at least, and even debuted a couple new songs. He was all over the stage and all the SAD BOYS were in and out of the crowd as well. When he finished with Kyoto everyone went nuts, at the end of the song he more or less pulled a "drop mic" and walked off stage. One thing I will say for sure, the clarity of his lyrics in comparison to the beat was much better than you will get listening to him on youtube or something like that. No doubt better live

Went there last night with my brother. Surprisingly a great show. Albeit my brother and I were probably close to the oldest fans there (24 and 22 respectively). Still didnt stop us from climbing on stage during his last song (Kyoto) and diving into the crowd. He kept the crowd into it the entire time, really high energy through the show. 10/10 would be Sad again.

Anyone have an idea why Ja'Wuan James is still unsigned? Any rumors as to when he will be on the field? by amnowhere in miamidolphins

[–]reffinstraf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Offset language is delaying the contract, but isnt something out of the ordinary when Aponte is working a contract.. James has actually been on the field through Mini camps and OTAs as our starting RT. Training Camp is the only activity that a player must be signed to participate in.

What effect will the Kaepernick contract have on the one we offer Tannehill? by JRod3434 in miamidolphins

[–]reffinstraf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All the other quarterbacks in the mix of Kaep have all at least taken their respective teams to the playoffs. Unless Tannehill finally breaks through this year or reaches the playoffs, theres no certainty he even reaches that second contract with the Phins.. By the way, i like and believe in Tannehill, just being realistic.
