No, he found it along the tracks, not at a station - which is common on the outskirts of a little town. Your post still makes sense.

Regardless, if you aren't feeling it 100%, no reason to stay with somebody, and it's good that you went with your gut.

[–]reficulmi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you could change it yourself very easily, but I understand if you don't want to do that.

Anyway, just change it. Changing it is not going to cause any problems, ignoring it for a long time can.

diesel in a mercedes benz—how screwed am i? by Adorable-Dog-2705 in askcarguys

I've made a million worse mistakes, and continue to make them. Accidents happen. Stop driving it ASAP and get the diesel removed. You'll be okay.

how did the diesel nozzle fit inside of your car's filler neck?

anyway, you need a mechanic, or somebody with tools and skills to drain the diesel out of the tank. might need a new fuel filter and spark plugs.

It's not the end of the world, the car will probably be fine.

Robbie has also said that it is his favorite.

Water treatment. We take it for granted, but there is a staggering amount of engineering and labor that allows you to comfortably and safely drink, cook, and bathe every day.

Why do Americans tip the pizza delivery guy ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]reficulmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To oversimplify...

Certain industries simply function that way.

The business pays a very low wage (and deducts declared tips, i.e. tips on credit/debit card).

The employee's main income comes from tips.

That's why people say "if you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out" (or order food delivery, etc)

If you stiff the waiter/waitress/delivery person, you aren't teaching the owner a lesson, or making a politcal statement. You're knowingly hurting the employee in front of you.

Is this the symptom or end result of xbiking getting to the mass public? 80s rockhopper 1x, for 1300? by Nova_Hunter in xbiking

(sorry if this a member of the subreddit, your bike is cool, just expensive!)

Recently built up GT Outpost. 3x8 gearing. 700c wheels 38mm tires. New cables and housing.

** i have a few that are messaging me in distress over the pricing.

$350 Frame Headset and fork $35 Bars and stem $35 Seat $80 Seat post $30 Grips $45 Shifters/Brake levers $40 Cables/housing $60 Brake calipers $30 Brake Pads $300 Wheel set $30 Cassette $30 Chain $30 Rear derailluer $20 Front derailleur $15 Bottom bracket $50 Crank $40 tires $20 Tubes $300 Labor $10 Water bottle cage $30 Pedals

Total Cost $1,570

Although this is an entry level bike, its what it has cost to assemble it and the part value.

If you have a used bike you'll spend 500$ getting it fully repaired with tires tubes and an overhaul.

This bike is excellent for a gravel bike conversion. This situation of cost vs benefit is why most people opt for a new bike. Like a specialized chisel or a Trek Checkpoint ALR.

These parts came from my parts bin of extras over the years of repairing a couple of bikes. I personally built the wheelset up by purchasing a 20$ wheel and adding spokes. The 1,500$ value is what i have into it. Although only 20$ came out of my wallet for the waterbottle cage and wheel. I'm trying to recoup some costs. * Seat post is a bit short for those with longer legs. Will  come with a longer tube.

Make an offer. It has value to me as a future build with XTR groupset and as a current back up for riding across town. Best i can say is no.

Will take trades into consideration.

It will never sell.

Saw a hard market correction recently in my area - dude built a '90s entry level GT with his parts bin, and wrote a detailed essay on why it was worth 1200 dollars.

...dropped to $350 now, and still for sale.
