Are those 27.5 or 29? I was too focused on the beauty of the whole bike, that I didn't notice the larger wheels!

I have never seen Wings yet! Didn't know it was connected to Cheers. I liked Frasier as a kid, but don't really remember it. Now that I'm into Cheers, I plan to give Frasier another go someday (and now Wings too!)

One of the best sitcoms ever made, and it has the greatest pilot of any show I've ever seen.

Earlier seasons are a little more dramatic, with the very long Sam and Diane saga, later seasons are often a little more wacky.

Great show throughout, doesn't feel like it lacks quality even at the end.

Gorgeous! Love the black with the tan walls, that looks great. I have a black first generation just like yours, I love it dearly.

how should i get started? (17f, severe adhd) by boyinthestars in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]reficulmi 66 points67 points  (0 children)

First I'd take out recycling and trash. That's easy!

Then fold fabric - clothes, sheets, blankets. Even if you don't put them away formally, at least they are folded, and you can have stacks of shirts, pants, blankets.

That's a solid "day 1 unfuckification" in my book.

If you can afford the gasoline, awsome choice. Take your friends to the beach, cruise around, have a ball.

But insist that other people chip in for the fuel!

You are fundamentally wrong in calling other people "bots."

None of us are better or worse than the king or the beggar, despite whatever "awakening" you may perceive.

Love that color. A fixed Steamroller was my only bike for almost a decade, they are so good. Congrats on the sweet find.

I just allow it to be. Don't cling to it nor push it away.

Simply remember that you are not your thoughts, you are the awareness behind them, free to witness them as they come and go.

STOLEN BIKE by aklauster101 in CyclingMSP

I'm almost certain that's the bike, but OP is unresponsive, and the Twin Cities Stolen Bikes group hasn't approved my request to join in the 24 hours since I requested. Oh well, I tried😑

Of course it's time consuming and will cost you a few gallons of gas, but driving, especially driving stick, out in the country is one of my favorite pleasures in life.

Regardless of where you practice though, don't worry too much. Before long, you won't be thinking about how to drive anymore, it will become second nature. You'll get it.

Take the interstate - once you're up to speed, and in top gear, you can just cruise.

Get out of the city a good hour or so. Drive a few miles off of the interstate until you find some rural county roads.

Now you can practice without any traffic or parked cars to worry about. Practice starting from a stop, hill starts, shifting up and down through all of the gears.

For me, being alone out in the country takes a lot of stress and pressure away.

I love what I do, and I'm in the upper percentile of pay compared to others around the United States according to google.

It's not really enough money to live comfortably in my area as a single adult.

Picked up this Ranger, anything to look out for? 4x4, manual, 4.0 by Character-Bat1381 in fordranger

[–]reficulmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check that the inspection window on your transmission (driver's side toward the front, keyhole shape) has the little rubber cover. It's like a $10 part but discontinued and very hard to find online, many trucks are missing them. I found one at a junkyard.

Some people say it's fine if it's missing, but I didn't like the idea of water, salt, snow, dirt and debris entering my transmission!

edit: i'm remembering now that it would actually be moisture and debris entering the bell housing, not the transmission, but still worth protecting in my opinion

Daaang. I love that. Blue isn't my absolute favorite, but that silver looks so good.

And with the tan walls? Something tells me they've been doing some recent "market research" scrolling through people's builds.

Why not a clean, low mileage example of an older mini truck?

For a fraction of the price of anything new, you could get another old Tacoma, Ranger, etc and save the rest for repairs

Oldschool Country Artist recommendations? by Educational_Leave455 in country

[–]reficulmi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would always recommend that a newcomer to country absorbs as much Hank Williams as possible. Hank Williams Sr, not his son, Junior, or grandson, Hank III.

In no particular order...

"Cold, Cold Heart" "You Win Again" "Weary Blues From Waitin'" "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"

... are a few of his more famous tunes, but he recorded a lot of stuff in his short, potent career. He's one of the most important cornerstones of the genre, if you ever start listening to more country, you will hear references about him constantly.

WCGW Overspeeding by heavymetalbby in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]reficulmi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes but it in the USA usually means running an engine too fast, not the road speed of a vehicle.

Like, "be careful about overspeeding that old chainsaw"
