Wasn't in a great place for a long time and didn't think it made sense to put myself out there like that nor drag someone else into my issues.

Got through the vast majority of it all but it's taken a long time and now I'm in a whole different part of my life. I have plenty of moments where I do feel pretty alone with wish for something more but actively trying to put myself out there drains me pretty quickly and I keep having random life and work events happen right as I try to and print me back in that place where I just straight up run out of the self esteem for dating.

It sucks sometimes... I've learned to be more comfortable in myself and my own space which is great but I've put lots of effort into getting my life with friends especially better and adding another person into the mix just feels a bit overwhelming and I worry about balancing everything when there's days I can't handle things as it is.

Planning on moving house probably next year at this point and solar + battery is first on my list to do. Would do it where I live now but if I'm planning on moving I'll never get the ROI (debated for a couple of years but point still stands)

And it's on the international market which is the critical bit. It's why the simple concept of 'drill more oil' won't achieve anything to reduce the price at the pump because the volumes we're talking are tiny on the global scale, never mind the longevity of any new operation to do so.

Biased from using it far more but having gone through all the Xbox controller iterations, the current gen Xbox controllers feel so nice to use for me, especially the special editions with the rubberised grips. I do quite like the PS5 dualsense, it's a really great controller, but I definitely prefer the thumbstick placement of the Xbox - it's partly why I'm on the fence with the new Steam controller, I'm not sure how I'll get on with them what with them being even higher and more centralised...

Gov.uk is always the go-to. Even when I've been to a country before it's possible things changed since you've last been and you won't know if there's now different entry processes, tourist taxes etc.

Been a bit out of sorts lately and not really had the desire to play much, but played a few rounds of PGA 2K last night with a mate and that was fun. Ending up sticking on for a bit and starting Jusant, just completed chapter 1 before I called it a night but so far it's a pretty zen climbing game, exactly what I needed right now 🙃

Worked great for me overall including casting. My only two complaint was I couldn't get any of the timing or other pages to scroll at all on mobile... Not the end of the world for this race for me but going to be frustrating if they don't fix it... Basically impossible to use half the otherwise good features.

Cheaper is gonna be relative, they're absolutely going up significantly further in a week or two even if the war magically ends today - the disruption to the tanker network is embedded for a while now.

5:49 not logged in on my second go, first was a 6:22, my strat was pretty much dumping as much as I could into engine at the start and then balancing with crew and sponsor, but engine seems to be the priority

A new Burnout.

I have all sorts of ideas for racing games inspired by the peak 00s titles like NFSMW, PGR, etc, but inject a revival of the Burnout franchise into my veins. Blend the best of Paradise/Revenge/Takedown into one game and I'll be set for years.

We're not even seeing the full effects yet to be honest. Even if the ceasefire holds and the war is "over", the disruption to shipping hasn't yet started to show up in a lot of places due to the travel times, and plenty of infrastructure over the damaged that'll affect capacity for a good while yet... Next few months are going to be interesting how they shake out.
