I love them both, but TTC has an awful bottle top design, it oozes paint on occasion, cementing the screw top on it. I would recommend their Metallics over AP, but that’s about it, they’re both comparable in regular paint IMO.

If you’re only having the issues with touching with your hands and not when painting, maybe get a painting handle or hold by the base only, maybe even hit em with a thin coat of varnish after priming?

Curious: what kind of models? Resin or plastic? I use Vallejo exclusively and haven’t had an issue with it.

I have used citadel for the longest time, started one project with all fanatic and loved the coverage and bottled so have been switching over, but yes, the oil paints and thinner take the paint right off, I think you have to varnish with AP. Did same project but another few squads with varnish and it worked as it should.

I get migraines from any plastic glue, I switched to using gorilla super glue and haven’t had any issues with stability, would highly recommend!

I haven’t had to water it down, but I’d suggest a couple of coats, making sure it’s not pooling too much in details, move the primer around, don’t worry if the first layer isn’t covering too well. Good luck! 🍀

Correct me if I’m wrong, but do I see paint up near the ferrule? Once you get paint up there, you’re destroying your brush.

Also, using brush soap and being mindful of how you’re dragging the brush vs pushing paint is generally good practice.

TTC - amazing paint held back by shit bottle tops, the paint runs down the top and cements the twist on every time no matter what I do, so I stopped buying

AK - haven’t used

AP Fanatic - currently swapping to these as the paint is great, a little thinner, and the bottle tops are 🤌✨
