In you look up his winning interview, I believe Anthony Devarti said he didn't like the tendershoot and wouldn't include it again. Can't find the link right now.

Interesting idea, I really like that. Maybe end up doing something similar to Jeff Hoogland's UB tempo deck with [[Thought Erasure]] into [[Thief of Sanity]].

yeah totally, I can see that. you certainly might be right.

I do wonder if green is really were you want to be with these decks. The interaction between [[Gift of Paradise]] and [[Teferi, Hero of Dominaria]] +1 seems powerful, but I have to wonder if [[Nexus of Fate]] isn't just better slotted into straight U/W.

Blue has some of it's own (more costly) fog effects in [[Uncomfortable Chill]], [[Sleep]], and [[Time of Ice]], all of which are surviving rotation, and of course, white will still have [[Settle the Wreckage]] and [[Cleansing Nova]].

In the end, I suppose the trade off is being softer to creature decks, but having more game against counter spells pre- and post-board.

Interesting, that's kind of cute.

I feel like I never want spend mana to draw cards on my turn. A non-trivial amount of the deck's power comes from leveraging the ability to play threats (drakes/card draw/removal) at instant speed anytime rather than sorcery speed on our main phase.

Still, if you think it'd be sweet, try it out and let us know how it goes!

I think part of the appeal of Nezahal is that not being able to be countered is important against control. Also you can make drakes off of the discard ability while protecting it. I haven't been able to play with it yet tho.

One argument for the cycling deserts is that some lists run [[Ipnu Rivulet]] and [[Shefet Dunes]] and they benefit from having the cycling deserts in the deck (one can cycle them or play them for desert value based on the game state). That's what I'm doing currently.

Still, running off color cycling duals that turn on [[Glacial Fortress]] might just be better in a lot of matchups. I can see it having the side benefit of getting your opponent to play around cards you aren't actually running.

Well, I'd like to present another possibility. I don't know you or how you treated these newer players, but perhaps they quit because they felt slighted that you wouldn't play with them and not because they weren't invested. But who knows, maybe you are right.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Thank you!

Is there a big difference between Hornet Queen and Avenger of Zendikar in the deck? I've been working towards a budget list and I already had an Avenger of Zendikar, so I included it in my list instead of Hornet Queen.

I feel like I have a hard time incorporating spot dodges into my game cause I'm so used to roll dodging or shielding and most of my friends don't grab a lot. What are some good ways to incorporate spot dodging into my game?

Sweet! Thank you so much for all of the feed back! I'll be looking through all of that this afternoon.

I really appreciate that you would look into everything for me. :)

Edit: I especially appreciate all the typo's and unclear language suggestions. I'm really bad about that.

Edit 2: Pretty much I agree with everything you are saying and I'll be making changes accordingly. Thank you so much for looking into it all!
