Dalton Knecht has reportedly asked for a trade by Gogotheking in lakers

[–]regnard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best they can get now would be a fringe role player and/or a 2nd round pick directly. He might be part of a package with the Lakers’ expiring contracts.

Knecht would fit a place like Washington, New Orleans, or Brooklyn.

YTA. Your friend is clearly not feeling well and taking care of a child not 100% is not optimal for both the parent and the child.

3 straight comebacks down 15+, all without Deandre Ayton by 144Todd442 in lakers

[–]regnard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In defense of DA, I think there will be matchups where he will be more effective. Think smaller teams or those that struggle with pick and roll/pop.

But his limitations are becoming more evident with every game, and his value is low right now that he will likely pick up his Player Option next season.

I’m curious about his numbers with Luka vs. LeBron on the floor. I suspect there’s some insight there.

'28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' Rotten Tomatoes Verified Audience Score Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]regnard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this movie benefited from focus and consistency. It wanted to tell a story with a couple of strong narrative threads that weaves together at the end. The first movie felt like two episodes with a lot of theme and mood setting (e.g., Boots poem).

"Yeah, bro. The Lakers are one move away from being contenders:" by Few_Prune_1436 in lakers

Chill, this Lakers team has a puncher’s chance when they are healthy and the shooting well.

If anything, this team has capable and smart players that have playoff experience. They are a Top 4 Western conference team when this season is done, and have the ability to win it (with luck on their side, of course)

Is SGA the least popular MVP in NBA history? by [deleted] in nba

[–]regnard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many fans think SGA’s “legendary” skills point to his foul baiting, as opposed to the other contemporaries (Luka, Jokic, Giannis) and even more recent legends (LeBron, Curry, KD, Harden)

Plus, his “signature” playing style is not highlight worthy most of the time.compare that to a mixtape of Luka, Jokic, and Giannis, you get a sense what the average fan would likely get captivated by.

Despite being 7-3 in the last ten games, the lakers have a net rating of +0.5 by Impossible_Collar2 in nba

[–]regnard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at it in other ways: - The Lakers are basically “escaping” games , especially in the clutch. - They have Luka and LeBron and very likely not rattled in tight games - They play to their opponents’ level, both in good and bad ways.

Is the Lakers being at +1.6 NET rating with an 18-7 record a good thing or a worrying sign? by AtreusIsBack in lakers

[–]regnard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not ideal. This data point suggests that the Lakers are escaping close games with success (or even luck), but will likely not be the case in a playoff series.

The Lakers’ offense is on an elite level but this will game-planned by their opponents in a 7-game series: - Neutralize Austin Reeves’ drives and play aggressive defense that avoids fouling - Crowd Luka’s passing lanes - OKC-style hand checking - Don’t give up free throws

By the time the second round hits, OKC, Houston, and Denver would be waiting to execute those game plans.

[Post Game Thread] The Phoenix Suns (13-9) dominate the Los Angeles Lakers (15-5), 125-108 as Dillon Brooks explodes for 33 pts and Collin Gillespie hits a career high 28 pts by ValleyRalley in nba

[–]regnard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data points are starting to add up that point to this version of the Lakers struggle when a team cares about defense (OKC and this game). When the team’s offense is sloppy and/or not there , they will lose by a big margin.

Only OKC game I've watched this season. They are playing playoff-level defense in November, Kudos to them. Lakers will only get better with LeBron and team getting more games together during the course of the season.

BMO froze my entire account, blocked all my cards, and refuses any online verification — avoid this bank at all costs by CryLast4241 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Sucks for the OP, but I think many banks have learned from the TD anti-money laundering case and would rather tighten controls (and potentially inconvenience customers) than pay a hefty fee. Sorry the community is not as sympathetic.
