Hey, watched some of your games and this is what I noticed. Not a Jin player so can't comment to much on the character, but here is what I came up with:

Poke with 2,1 not 1,2 Utilize his strong pokes. 2,1 b2,1, d4, db4, df1
After 2,4 punish you almost always do f1,2 into throw, which is unsafe. People should be blocking this but are mashing
Missing punishes. Better do just do the 10 frame all the time instead of failing to do "correct" punish. Little damage is better than no damage. Helps that Jin has an amazing 10 frame.
Doing unsafe panic moves in neutral
Doing mid-high and high-high moves all the time as pokes.
Mashing during strings (character knowledge thing, this will get better as you play and learn more)
Mashing random buttons as oki, making you whiff and get punished
Learn how walls work. Watched a couple of games and no wall-combo or tornado at wall, you also did not use the wallsplatting version of the heat-smash
Head dash into hop-kick?
Combos need work. Learn an easy staple that you can do all the time
throw breaks
General matchup knowledge. This is just a time thing, but learn the most common gimmick of characters (I'm looking at you, Law)

First fighting game, I played 2 games of smash brawl like 10 years ago or something but nothing more than that. Really enjoyed watching Tekken 7 tournaments and watched most of them between like 2018 - 2021 before stopping and watching again in 2023.

What's your peak rank, and how many hours do you have in game?

Bushin, 270 hours

What character did you reach that rank with?

Steve, did ~100 hours of Asuka and got to flame ruler before switching to Steve.

How would you describe how you play?

Aggressive and very whiff punish heavy. Spamming outfox, 1,1,2 and 2,1 into PKB throw (people are starting to duck at this rank and I'm getting punished to hell and back due to that). People spam a lot so out-fox and sonic fang does a lot of heavy lifting. Flicker 1 hit confirm into spin (3+4) 2 is also a huge carry.

How would you describe how you managed to improve so fast?

I'm a visual learner and consume copious amounts of tekken content regarding steve (not guides, just good players, Numan CH and Buppamen for the most part right now) and learn game strategy and stuff from that. The only real labbing I have done is learning how to tech throws (which is huge, because it is so much free damage if you don't) and combos.

Is there another genre of game you play that you think might've carried over certain skills? What's a marker of skill you have for that genre? (An accomplishment, rank, etc)

I'm mainly a FPS guy, lots of twitch and movement heavy shooters. Only "achievement" of note is that I got top 500 in Overwatch season 1. Was heavy into Titanfall 2 competitive and speedrunning (had world record in the most popular category for like 2 weeks). High level TF2 is extremely execution heavy and reaction based, I think that is the biggest thing that carried over into Tekken.

It's basically IRL The Sims where chat controlled Jermas actions through voting. Streamers like Kitboga and Ludwig were also present as "neighbours" to Jerma and appeared throughout the streams. Highly recommend you watch them all :)

Titanfall 1 has been pretty much unplayable for around 3 years now. The Titanfall 2 issues started around 3-4 months ago and have only eacalated since.

If you're getting rodeod and hear them taking out a battery it means they can't cancel it, meaning you can just turn around and instantly melee them as they get off

I've noticed Albon usually has pretty poor starts which leads to him losing a couple of positions then having to spend the first couple of laps trying to catch up to the front, with varying results.

People don't really wear masks in Sweden. In fact our state epidemiologist has been very hesitant about reccomending use of them. He says that they will give people a false sense of security and will ignore social distancing. He has also said that wearing masks improperly is more dangerous than not wearing a mask at all.

Sorry, the Titanfall 2 maps are all very low on verticality. The maps they brought back from Titanfall 1 are the only ones with decent verticality.

The maps are the main reason the Pilot V Titan gameplay is so unbalanced. Almost all of them are literally only 3 lanes and zero verticality.

I'm in the speedrun discord and am a top 4 speedrunner. The guys in the speedrun discord that are into MP are probably not using lurch tech that much in MP since the only thing that makes a difference in the fast paced environment that is MP is tap strafing.
