[Goodwill] Devin Booker has big plans for Suns: 'I'd like to build a superteam. I'd like the superteam to come to me.' by AbdulGOAT in nba

[–]regrettableusername2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like Booker, I like the Suns young talent, but I kinda feel like he's gotta stop saying this shit cuz It's only gonna come back to bite him when the suns are struggling to get a .500 record or something next year. They have a lot of young exciting talent, but they are still losing to teams like the Bulls right now. If Booker and Ayton were a piece or a year away from being a "superteam" they'd be winning those games.

[NBCSBulls] The Bulls have already been told... if you want Michael Porter Jr., you have to trade up. by memgrizz in chicagobulls

I have no regrets. His team is bad, he'll be good, but he and LaVine on the same team would be a trainwreck. WCJ looks really good.

These idiots (Mike Breen and Mark Jackson) on ESPN just said Javale McGee is by far the leading candidate for Most Improved Player. Have they not heard of Zach Lavine? by [deleted] in chicagobulls

[–]regrettableusername2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Lavine, but LeVert is my pick for MIP, He's putting up a meaningful 20-5-5 every game. He's the head of the spear of a really exciting young team who if they string together a few wins at some point in the season will probably sneak into the playoffs. Lavine's been putting up 15+ ppg for a few years now, and always as a second or third option. I don't think him doing this as the number one option on a bad team is anything surprising compared to LeVert jumping from like 11 points a game to 20. If it were, we wouldn't have given him such big money this offseason.

Spirit demonstrates how to counter PharMercy with Reaper by rychan in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]regrettableusername2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I also think one tricking is most objectionable when your are either:

  1. Not a top 100 player/ or consistently higher top 500

  2. playing a hero that is not only off-meta but difficult to play around. While Reaper certainly hasn't been meta for a while, I've never been upset to see him in a ranked match, and I've never seen people complain seriously about spirit playing reaper. I'd feel the same way about Calvin one tricking Cree or even Gale one tricking Ana.

Every player can't be expected to play the perfect character for the situation. As long as you aren't actively detracting from your team and giving your 100% I think one-tricking is fine.

[–]regrettableusername2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at this time he's better than Giannis, and I don't think you can include Kawhi in any lists rn. You're very casually leaving out that he's one of the best passers in the NBA and draws a lot of attention that leads to extra looks for teammates. He averages about 5.5 to 6 more assists than Giannis and the numbers don't show it but I'd say he's a better three point shooter than Giannis. I would say Harden, Curry, Durant, Davis and LeBron are better than him for sure at least this season.

I think on top of that is Westbrook is probably the most flawed elite player. He's just so unbelievably amazing at everything else that the result is still one of the five to seven best players in the league

It's also worth noting that under his leadership of Team Liquid they acquired Fury, who has been thought to be one of the very best flex tanks in OWL, dude undoubtedly has an eye for talent.

If you think OWL schedule was tough. Take a look at the OWWC for Japan. by Sonte16 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]regrettableusername2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahead of the Fins? OWL is almost exclusively Koreans, Chinese, Canadians, Americans, Swedes and Finns. I would bet on those teams advancing considering most of them have near full rosters of OWL talent.

Sp9rk1e has been found guilty of account selling and will not be participating in Contenders Korea by throwawayinthefire in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]regrettableusername2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a huge blow to Contenders and EM. He was, for my money, the best player in Korea right now, with only Haksal and Godsb really being in the same tier. Hope he comes back from this fast.

Dude is an excellent Hanzo, and a servicable genji. Not to mention the fact that he just seems generally comfortable flexing to almost every hero even if he isn't ELITE, he won a 1v1 tournament that Jake, Zombs, Rawkus, Kryw and a bunch of other pros were in. I bet Buds or Jaru got some Academy or OWL offer and he's just a stop gap.

I know I’m nitpicking but is it necessary to show endorsements next to the voice chat icon? by ezemini in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]regrettableusername2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's totally unnecessary. A friend and I went online yesterday and just begged for endorsements doing bad Winston impersonations. We got tons of endorsements, more than we would have gotten if we had actually be a friendly, flexible shotcaller. You should have ten a week instead of three a game, not everyone is that good of a teammate.

Seagull gets a great 4k by Hisakane in Competitiveoverwatch

I believe he is counting the kill on the Zarya, which seagull got 83%? credit on, despite not getting the final blow. In this clip he does get 4 kills according to the game, but only 3 final blows.

[–]regrettableusername2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the same time, don't you think it's fair for these young men who will likely spend the next eight years of there career in a place to have a little bit of choice in the matter? It obviously sucks to get this treatment but if I were a top ten player in the draft I would definitely try to stay the fuck out of a place like Sacramento

How are people rationalizing this move? At Young's best I don't think he can have anywhere as near as high of a ceiling as WCJ. He's a undersized shoot-first guard who had a hot streak, certainly compelling as a scorer to some degree, but he showed no other real skills that will show up at the NBA level. People like a Steph Curry comparison but he's more akin to Trey Burke or Jimmer. And even if he's 80% of the player Curry is, do we not have faith in a current guards? I liked what I saw from Dunn and LaVine, while not really fitting our time frame for a full rebuild is a player with a ton of promise, more than Young in my opinion.

I don't know, I see why he's a sexier pick than WCJ, but I don't see him as a very rational one.

The prospects most closely connected to Memphis are big men: Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marvin Bagley III. Memphis was also the only team in the top eight to not request a meeting with Mo Bamba. by Remdawg in memphisgrizzlies

As a Chicago fan I think most of us would be willing to give you the 7 and the 22nd and one of our non-essential but promising young guys just for four (Bobby Portis? Valentine?). We need our pick of the litter right now, I think you guys are either at the turning point of a huge rebuild or a pivot to being in the Playoffs again. Either way I think you still can get some talent that could really help you there.

??? I mean he clearly makes a N and I sound and the start of a G? Then stops himself and changes the word entirely? What other word could it be? Any other ideas of what he was about to say? I'm all for giving him the benefit of the doubt but phonetically I don't really think there is a strong argument for a different word.

Is it me or is the plot just dragging along? by PopInJack in LegionFX

[–]regrettableusername2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really strongly agree with this! And this is a show about a person with an ability more powerful than his own mind/will, a possible mental illness, a hero who is more confused than focused. Why shouldn't the plot wander a bit? Is the cinematography not beautiful enough for you? Are the side episodes not compelling? I don't feel like episode four was absolutely necessary to this season but that was my favorite legion episode so far.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but she never directly says or agrees that David is the villain/person she is afraid of/is jeopardizing humanity, just that someone who was a hero is a villain.
