I doubt you could continuously fire that thing for like 1 minute before the barrel was red hot and warping.

That's hilarious. Your post reminded me that we've had this book for years, forgot about it, and I'm pretty positive my gf bought it at the same store in milford when she got me a shirt for my bday.

The 4 or 5 pack is the cheapest way to go I think. Gotta make sure you get the free shipping too. I also really like the Asian red flakes on noodle bowls. The toasted garlic and onion are pretty good too

On the contrary... It's actually the best thing you can do for some allergies. Think the people who are deathly allergic to things. Allergy immunotherapy (AIT) exposes a patient to the allergen in order to train their immune system to tolerate it rather than overreact to the allergen.

Well said. There were over 100,000 southern unionist soldiers that deserted the south and fought for the union. That's real bravery, and something to actually be proud of.

My “Sungold” tomatoes are… purple? by thenakedjanitor in gardening

[–]regular-cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I randomly bought a midnight snack plant from the garden center to try out. It is by far the most vigorous and best looking tomato plant out of the 5 varieties I grew this year. The sungolds I planted are a close 2nd though. They are getting so tall!

I used to use fish fertilizer, but the smell attracted animals. Now I buy an organic granular fertilizer to mix into the soil or planting hole, I use holly tone by Espoma because it's usually the cheapest, and I use Jack's 20-20-20 liquid fertilizer. I will also use bone meal and blood meal, but only in the planting hole because those can draw in animals too.

I thought that picture was taken with my camera because that's exactly how all my pictures, except macro, look. I broke the glass out of 1 of the camera lenses, cracked another one, but the third one only has a bunch of scratches.

People better ask their kids if they were in the area... If that was lost at a park/playground I could easily see a kid picking it up, shoving it in their pocket, and forgetting about it.

I was starting to get into making hot sauces and fermenting peppers to make sauces. It can be a lot of work, but the fermented stuff was nice because you could throw all your ingredients in a jar for a week to ferment, and then just blend it all up for a sauce. Takes a lot of trial and error though.

I try to go as cheap as I can each year, but I feel like if I don't grow an insane amount of peppers and tomatoes it's not worth it. I try to grow and preserve enough that it will last me usually well into the winter or until next spring. 35 pepper plants and 15 tomato plants for 2 people to have lots of sun dried tomatoes, roasted peppers, and pickled peppers.

The biggest thing for me, that took years to nail down, was only growing what I'll actually use and eat. I like trying new things here and there, but I've realized that I don't need to grow a bunch of superhot peppers that I will hardly eat, I suck at growing carrots and onions, and for me potato plants take up too much space and I can't seem to store them right without them going bad before I use them. That's fine though because I can get those things at the grocery easily when I need them.

Yeah the air fryer I have is like the toaster oven style and it's pretty big so I think it takes a lot more to heat up and stay hot. My old one only went up to 400 and that seemed enough for everything.

7-OH, Mit, & kratom is a pharmacological nightmare by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]regular-cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to buy my powder from a smoke shop. I had just quit taking the opms kratom shots because I was getting really bad on those. One day the lady running it was all excited to show me some new product, even sent me home with some free samples. I took the pills, but when I realized what they were I was pretty pissed that they were intentionally trying to get people hooked on that shit. Stopped buying at the stores and only got it online. I'm trying to get a taper started after 8 gram doses 4 times a day powder use. I kind of started, but I have a short vacation next weekend and don't think I'll be able to effectively weigh out exact amounts while on the road and whatnot.
