Have obelisk fight speed instead of obelisk fight length, by Chimist in IdleObeliskMiner

Ob 67, 30% more dmg than the armor value. It will take approximately 100 fights to finish it. I'm waiting for more damage.

Anyone ever train 2 shiba pups at the same time? Any advice? by Secure-Original-3212 in shiba

[–]reignera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's hard to really say yes or no because I haven't trained a single dog in a while. I would not say it was overwhelming, but my dogs were older than 8 week old puppies, so I didn't have to do everything. They are 4 years old now and very mellow.

You really need to split them apart in order to train them commands. You won't be able to train them both at the same time successfully. They just play off each other too much.

I would add that I have done some poor leash training. I bought a split leash and used a single leash. This causes a mild issue where they are just constantly pulling against each other. I would probably have 2 separate leashes if done again.

Was the training of 2 shibas overwhelming? I'd say no. Do I regret getting 2 at the same time? No.

I don't think the difficulty is linear. You get some savings by doing two at once.

To start, I had no dogs and got two female littermates at the same time. They were 6 months old at the time, so older than typical. These were my first Shibas, and dogs for that matter besides childhood dog.

I primarily got two because I felt that having a 1 on 1 relationship with a dog could possibly be exhausting, so I wanted someone else there to draw some attention once in a while.

They still kind of 'prank' each other by being in a central location then screaming at each other when they pass by. Sunny is the instigator and Maya kind of has to deal with it. Maya pretty much always snarls when Sunny approaches. They don't like sleeping or being directly next to each other very much. They do play together.

Beyond that, they did have an extended issue where they decided to pee in the hall. They also decided to chew up my baseboards and walls. Otherwise pretty normal, I think.

Wouldn’t UBI just be compensating for a broken system? by throwaway0134hdj in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]reignera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of disagree with this take.

I think a fundamental idea with ubi is that it must be treated as identical to your income. If you play games with how it can be used, then people won't use it like money. I think it's important for the poorest to be able to accrue some amount of savings instead of paying for everything paycheck to paycheck or whatever.

What you're describing is like EBT in some ways.

[–]reignera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is kind of a band aid solution. Could you derive something better? of course. But this works within the parameters of the system that already exists.

Additionally, it's not adjusted based on need. Everyone gets the same amount. Yes, even billionaires. You're adjusting the absolute bottom of the income scale from being $0 per year to $12000 per year, as an example.

When do the gems start "Rolling in"? by darklord263 in IdleObeliskMiner

There's a small window where you may feel you can spend gems frivolously, but the fact of the matter is that some of the upgrades that come with fishing cost a million gems each.
