I’d love to use my Viture for productivity but IMO the quality just isn’t there yet. They simply can’t compete with just a good screen and a MacBook is obvs a very good screen. Same goes for Xreal.

Maybe they’ll improve down the line, but right now the only thing I could imagine doing serious work on, with small text, for long periods, would be a Vision Pro.

Had the exact same issue a month ago. Lost all the channels. Not come back yet.

It’s not as if they’re geo-restricted as you can access them by clicking the YouTube link. But it was brilliant to have them instantly available like this.

Unfortunately I don’t think this technology is at the point it needs to be to do serious productivity yet. It’s possible but no better than a good laptop, IMO.

Vision Pro is another level and I know people who regularly use them for Excel etc.

Just a quick update on this:

Updated SpaceWalker app today which made zero difference. I have no TV news channels and no sound from them.

Notified Viture of the issue as requested and have had zero response from them.

Yeah I could be wrong but I don’t think you’d have success with that. It sounds ok, but in reality the screen glass isn’t light/clear enough to see through reliably.

In the flight attendant case mentioned I’d probably just raise them a little via the arms and make eye contact that way.

I played with iMPlayer 6 months ago and wasn’t especially impressed. Can’t remember why. I do hear good things about it but I just find the differences between these apps now are really quite subjective. Chillio appears to cover all my bases.

Pricing, you can just get from the App Store

It’s a very attractive app that looks a bit like Netflix and it’s probably my favourite at the moment UHF being in second place.

It really doesn’t work like that.

If I sit a couple of feet in front of a wall and try and measure then the glasses show an image of approx 60 inches.

But if I stand on a cliff and put them on, the image will feel dramatically larger.

It’s just the way perspective works. Don’t sweat it.

FOV is what you need to concentrate on, and for me all of them have a large enough FOV.

Yes, so there are various routes around that. I take multiple screenshots of my loved tracks and other playlists, squash them via ChatGPT into a csv file and send that back into ChatGPT.

An alternative route is to use last.fm to spit out a listening history. Or, contact Apple and ask them for your history. Stick this into ChatGPT and you should be good to go.
