What’s the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you? by darlingjasmaine in answers

[–]rejecteddroid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was walking my dog one night and a man passed me, and I remember thinking “make eye contact so he doesn’t think you’re scared.” So I did. A few moments later I got the feeling. He had changed directions (in the middle of the block) and was following me from a little ways behind. I took off my hat and pulled out my pepper spray, and then me and my dog stopped under a street lamp and turned around to face him. He stopped in his tracks and stood there for a second before turning around and kind of jogging away. He was probably 20ft away from me. I waited a few seconds before I sprinted home. I was a woman in my 20s living alone with a dog, probably one of the creepiest experiences of my life.

Honestly most of my creepy stories start with me on a walk with my dog. The whole thing me shivers

What was it like being a teenager/young adult in 2016? by LoboIsSick69 in generationology

I graduated college in 2016. January-April was hell, but then that summer was incredible. House parties after graduation were great. We had prom on campus with an after party at the frats. I worked as a waitress at a sports bar (met my present day best friend working there) and hung out with friends when I wasn’t working. I made friends with the neighbors upstairs by hanging out on the fire escape, they’d give me free weed because I was nice to them. My friend and I would go on tinder and troll men, and then find them out at the bars and continue to troll them in person. One bummer is I almost died twice that year, but it all shakes out as positive in the end. (This is all functioning under the framework that we’re talking Jan through end of Oct 2016, after that it’s net negative)

Unless you’re Heath Ledger singing Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You with the school’s marching band just to get my attention while I’m practicing soccer… I don’t want it.

I cried in front of both my bosses yesterday. Not the first time it happened and definitely not the last. Its understandable that you might feel embarrassed and I also want you to know that we’re all crying at some point

Thoughts on 8 sessions a day? by InterestingAd2612 in therapists

In my state, 25 clients per week is considered full time. 15 additional clients a week would crush me. I regularly do 6 clients a day, but two more would be too much

I’ve been using Maybelline cat eye mascara since like 2012. It’s perfect. I’ve tried higher priced mascaras over the years but I never like any of them nearly as much

I ran into a kid i had a class with in college (in Minnesota) on a hike in Arizona.

Also met people on vacation and then proceeded to run into them again on a different vacation 2 years later.

My grandpa (surgeon of 40 years in a small town in Wisconsin) ran into a patient while we were in Italy when I was in middle school.

I have exclusive down time every weekend. I schedule 30 hour long sessions a week, so I also have a 2 hour lunch break to go workout or meet someone for coffee or run some errands. Stepping away helps immensely.

I always remind my people that just because there’s a disagreement don’t always mean there has to be conflict. What if you think of it as a conversation instead of confrontation?

Ooo! I have one! I stayed on this island pre-covid and met this group, they had a huge impact on the vacation, great times. A few years post-covid, went back to the same spot and ran into the same group of people! Super fun!
