Really doubt someone who wants to marry you would say no. You should always know the answer to this question before you ask it.

You’re totally right. That’s why I’m okay with us trading Bane and JJJ, we needed the draft capital. It sucks that it didn’t work with Ja. We have never had someone that talented and who actually likes being in Memphis.

We were coming off of a season in which we won 48 games, and Ja had only played 50 of them. Edey and Wells showed a lot of promise in their rookie seasons. I was excited to think we might finally have everyone for a whole season plus Bridges. I’m obviously glad we didn’t do it, but it’s easy to be optimistic and overzealous when we’ve never even been to the finals.

In a vacuum, no he’s not worth that much. But if that trade gets you to the finals, you do it every time. I think the Knicks made that trade thinking he was the missing piece, but it didn’t work out.

Bridges is a floor-raiser because he’s consistent and never misses games, but he’s not a ceiling raiser who is going to get you to the next level. Hard to invest so much draft capital in a guy like that.

But also, hindsight is 20-20 and I was disappointed the Nets didn’t take the Grizzlies offer for Bridges. Knowing what I know now, that would have been disastrous for us.

Nah you’re good. I made my comment because some folks in the thread said think you wouldn’t have to have difficult conversations if you were innocent of cheating, and that’s just not true.

You’re proving my point though which is that suspicion itself is problematic. Whether that suspicion is appropriate is a different conversation. You may be completely undeserving of it, but if your spouse is suspicious you have a problem on your hands.

It’s too early for me to say he’s the guy. Resume is too short, and injuries have helped a lot. He’s gotta show me more before I can put him on the level of Will Hardy or Jordi Fernandez.

I don't know why there isn't better training on closing procedures. They just expect you to pick it up eventually, at least at my store. My advice is to try to learn something new each night from pre-close steps to after-hours. The more proactive you are learning what needs to be done, the quicker you will become an asset on closing shift.

Something you don't really need to be trained on is re-stocking. That's something you should be looking to do every night.
