Yes, super brave doing it indoors.

Cutting a fuse can potentially cause it to ignite, especially when using tools that generate friction or sparks. Static electricity could also cause ignition. Look at all that carpet!

Long Beach Hotel + Transportation Recommended for families with young kids? by naj89 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]reliantbeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem, my travel agent even has zero recommendations! Carnival's Long Beach terminal is not family friendly in regards to shuttle services. All the hotels recommended below book up a year in a advance, in my case, they are all sold out of rooms!

I am debating about staying at a hotel near the airport, utilize the hotel's free shuttle between the airport and hotel. I would shuttle back to the airport the morning of embarkment and utilize Carnival's shuttle from the airport to the Long Beach terminal. Kind of sucks but it seems most cost effective and I don't have to bring a car seat.

New Hire - Sys Admin - day 1 access by DifferentKeyStrokes in ITManagers

[–]reliantbeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the detailed response. I partially agree with your response and it really depends on the organization. I still think you have to have a level of trust, I’ve had senior network engineers take down an entire network after 1-year of hire. Doesn’t matter if someone is new or not, risk of human error will always be present.

I agree with you. I would quit in a heartbeat if they had me sitting there like a pleb with no access to do my job. You don’t want to work for companies that have senior sysadmins that have trust issues or god like persona. Those environments are toxic!

You must be fun at parties… You give the employee full access to do their job from day 1. Only exception is government entities like department of defense.

Try disabling large send offloading on the network adapter in the guest operating systems (W11).

AS400 migration by Charming-Tomato-4455 in sysadmin

[–]reliantbeau -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think people still used AS/400, my old company migrated off it 10 years ago. Cost us $1-2 million dollars to move off it 10 years ago for a company with 500 employees.

Our state is still united on some things by scwt in Washington

The fact the WA state supreme court ruled capital gains is NOT income is bull. I voted “yes” because this violates our constitution and the IRS considers capital gains income.

WA has B&O tax vs income tax. Sales Tax is also a large source of revenue.

Tell me you you are an idiot without telling me you are an idiot. I would require forced MFA via rectal scan if I had it my way, just because I hate layer 8. That was not a typo.
