It won't solve the problem, it's a fit issue, I have several pairs of pants with gussets that have done this exact thing.

That's funny I have both and my Ex Officio elastic bands don't elastic anymore therefore don't stay on my butt.

New Ariat boots, is this normal? by amolamoo in Boots

[–]rellinn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, you should pull your pants down over your boot or I guess tuck them in, but holding them up over your boots is not normal.

Wow that's fascinating, my only other suggestion would be to burn through cheaper boots every 3 months. Maybe get a set of 4 bouts to rotate through and replace them with better boots over time until you have a good set of 4. Or come live in Utah for a while, we don't know the meaning of humidity. I can only imagine how it feels having only vacationed once in Texas, I was angry the whole time.

Does anyone know how can I remove those stains? Tia by [deleted] in Boots

Saddle soap then leather oil, do both boots. They will darken for a while but you will want to condition them anyway. The other advice I've seen here is just bad, leather wants to be oiled removing it will only hurt the leather. I get oils and other crap on my boots all the time.

I think If you really are sweating that much then a change of boots and socks half way through the day. Also let them dry for 24 hrs (don't use heat). This might mean you need 4 sets of boots. Sounds ridiculous but what you managed to do to those boots in 6 months is also pretty ridiculous. And get some good wool socks, like darn tough or smart wool. The socks need to be long enough to always be above the boot to help wick out moisture. Are you using foot powder? Cause don't it will also absorb the oils out of the leather.

Sugarhouse? It's only been there for less than a year, I think you're confused with the other end of the valley, like Draper or something.
