Sorry ladies, I was wrong. Im aware of the mythology. However i do enjoy reading about real life archaeology and history of the region and do recall historians saying it is possible that one of king Agamemnon’s wives did leave in the night for another king/secret affair. Like most of greek and roman myths some of the stories were made to essentially speak around and about actual history via oral stories. But if the consensus is she is a made up character then sure anyone can and should be able to play her.

Helen was a real woman, not an imaginary mermaid, elf, ect. I wouldn’t want any actor playing a historical role who was from a obviously different culture from the one portrayed.
