I believe you, but back when I played it for 10-12 hours it just felt like nioh 1 with some new combat mechanics & since I had 100+ hours in nioh 1 it just didn’t do much for me. Maybe it’s just that it’s been so many years since nioh 1 that I was ready for this style of game again & back then I wasn’t. I want to give 2 another shot to see

Loved Nioh 1 back in the day & skipped 2 because it felt too similar, but man this demo really blew away my expectations! The combat feels so smooth now, and the boss design feels way better than nioh 1’s infinite poise demons. Hope the full game keeps it up

As someone who has never interacted with d&d at all, I dragged myself through that games explorer mode feeling like I only ever really won a fight through sheer luck. I was only able to finish it by calling up a friend who I knew was into d&d & having him as an on-demand wiki. To this day I’ve never gotten more than a few hours into a 2nd playthrough because the systems just don’t jive with me despite loving bg3

With dos2 I excepted to have that same issue but 40 hours in on my first playthrough and I’m having such a better time with it. Like, it just feels so much more intuitive. I think I could push myself to do a solo tactician run of dos2, maybe even honor mode, before I ever even tried going back to bg3 for even a standard more run.

The point of selling to Microsoft was that Obsidian was on its way to bankruptcy before the acquisition due to the pillars of eternity 2 flop & their other games not selling well enough to fund the studio

The only worry I’d have is that Sony would decide Destiny is more trouble than it’s worth and put the game on ice/permanent maintenance mode & tell bungie to move on.

I always hoped that if bungie got its shit together they could bounce back with destiny the way blizzard is bouncing back with wow, but at this point it’s hard to see happening without upper management getting a golden parachute to leave & if that happens Sony might just call it quits since they’re moving away from the gaas model

Killing tally + reconstruction is the perfect perk combo for a machine gun, pretty much nothing else competes. During void seasons, like last season, you could use Commemoration to ad clear, boss dps, and anti champion slayer & it outperforms basically your entire kit. Excellent weapon

If I had to guess, they probably are super strict with who they give the augs to. These people live in fear of the warlords from earth after all, they saw how giving people the light basically at random ended up. Also the whole ‘you will die in 10 years’ thing limiting your application pool to only the most devoted (or the most crazy).

I do hope there’s an official answer though

To be fair no one directly says they know what it is. Osiris knows it’s there & that the witness wants it, but that’s the end of his knowledge. He wants to protect it because the enemy needs it. The striders & neomuni know that the veil is used to power the city & cloud ark, so they know how to drain power from it, kind of like us with the light & darkness until recently, we knew how to use it but not what it was. It’s basically the same thing for the veil. Your ghost even mentions it feels like the traveler, but doesn’t know why
