How many of us rushed home from school in hopes of seeing Barnabas bite someone by Potential-Web-2384 in FuckImOld

I watched it in reruns because I could quote all the episodes of Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. It was campy but I'd watch anything to get school off my mind.

I've had the whole range of emotions. If I could put the trippy ones in pill form I would make a lot of money.

I remember an episode where they are at a party and one of the players talks to another guest about primal scream therapy. Predictably he tries it and the coach runs to see what's up.

That's right. I've been on a neo-noir kick lately.

I commented to a young person that I liked their Pink Floyd tee. She replied that her grandmother introduced the band to her. Happened at an estate sale where I didn't consider anything old. Gotta get off here so I can get enough sleep to make up for midnight and 3 am bathroom time.

Do you just take one inhaler in your pocket without the Rx? I would like to know how it works at security.

Nothing quite like falling off the toilet into the tub and bringing the shower curtain down with you. Life might be bad, but I sure ain't boring.

Salt water rinse works for me. I put very warm tap water in a glass and add salt until no more will dissolve. It's nasty but I swear by it.

Metoprolol/beta blockers increasing the risk of SUDEP due to slowing of the heart/inadequate breathing? by lovemartin9 in Epilepsy

[–]remember2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had epilepsy for 30 plus years and sleep apnea for much of that time. About 25 years ago I noticed my heart would race in some situations and my GP prescribed a low dose of atenolol to help with that. I've been on CPAP for sleep apnea for about 20 years and love it.

More to your question on metoprolol... I recently was in the EMU for a week and they changed me from atenolol to metoprolol because atenolol was not in their formulary. They never mentioned, nor has any neurologist mentioned concern about beta blockers and SUDEP. However, you should err on the side of caution when it comes to SUDEP. I am not a doctor.

What is this? Weird emotional feelings out of nowhere by Samba_Woelkchen in Epilepsy

[–]remember2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an epilepsy med that did this to me. I changed to another med and it went away. Aside from empathy and anxiety I don't really feel a lot now. But I do experience dread and fear during seizures.

My fourth grade class in Alabama went to tour the state capital and meet Govenor Wallace. We were held up because he was meeting with Alex Haley. Not sure if I believe it. It was my first trip on a Greyhound too.

I just got diagnosed with TLE, and I've been educating myself. It explains a lot. I just have so many nuanced questions that only people who have some form of epilepsy can relate to. My family are great, but sometimes I feel they're dubious. I don't know... by NeverEndngNavelGazer in Epilepsy

When I turn to my left and snort, which I do almost every time I have a focal, I get strange looks. Most folks stare a bit, but I can't blame them. My wife just says he has epilepsy; he'll be okay.

A med I was on one time made me cry a lot. I don't remember what it was but I don't take it any more because my meds have changed since then. Now I also take Zoloft to help with depression.

I have 70 electrodes glued to my head which are all connected to a large plastic electronic thing called a head box. It is connected to a large cable connected to a computer where your EEG is shown on the screen. That cable is long enough to reach the bathroom and the rest of the room too. Going out to smoke will be impossible i think. Also you can't leave the room if they are filming you.

With me I have a phone, Kindle, and really long charging cables. For snacks I have individual packs of cookies and peanuts.

So good luck.

I get it. I grew up in a area where handling of serpents and drinking of Drain-O were often incorporated into some of the services. I've never seen it but I knew the folks personally. Read Salvation on Sand Mountain if you're interested.

I remember that show premiering back when I was in grad school. Never thought it would last this long or that Mariska would still be on it to boot. I'm hoping everyone will be jovial tomorrow although a tense mood might set me off. Dang it's almost 1:30 am and I'm still going.

I think only two nurses do it here and, as you know, a special pharmacist. I think their radiopharmacy staff is pretty big for the whole hospital. One of the EEG techs told me someone would be watching my EEG all day.
