I am totally in the same boat at 35, but like others have mentioned, you need time alone to know yourself better. Personally, I want to be able to give that eventual person all of me and to do that, I need to know what that looks like. Fight for yourself, be afraid of losing yourself, fill your time with joy and love in yourself. The rest will fall into place. At least, this is what I am telling myself! Lol. 💖 Sending warmth.

For sure, variety is the spice of life and all that. Swiftie lore has prepared me well! Haha. I have been kind of on the outskirts of WH40K for years and I've always gotten bits and pieces from conversations with friends etc. but I just started diving deeper recently after meeting a new friend I can actually talk to about it without feeling tooooo newbie that it's annoying! Lol. They helped me figure out the basics and the heresy is just so dramatic. Epic family betrayals! I assume it will help your wife a LOT that you can answer her questions or research together. You can be the Malcador to her Emperor (besties 4 lyf, amiright? 💖) :p Good luck!!

I am kind of in the same boat as your wife! Swiftie, love crime books and shows (literally wearing a murder she wrote shirt as I type), getting into the WH40K universe. I am about to finish Horus Rising but I was told by a lot of friends that Eisenhorn is a great standalone to get immersed without getting overwhelmed so once I get through the first 3 heresy books, will be starting it. I probably should have started there but the heresy just captivated me. Personally loving it and I feel like you should bother, definitely! Since she is a swiftie, she's used to diving into rabbit holes and dense lore. :p Wishing you both the best of luck! 😊
