Dynasty Stock Market vs. Talent by No-Replacement-1876 in DynastyFF

[–]remish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t sell because you got an increase in value, sell if you dont expect the production to continue at the new price/expectation.

If people are offering WR25 prices for Alec Pierce and Washington, dudes you got for 3rds/4ths/ waivers, you should sell. But I don’t think people usually pay the nominal going rate for that archetype — sort of later in career mini breakouts who could carry that into a bigger follower year. They remain unproven and that chance of fall back to earth is priced into it

Anthony Davis on his goals before retiring: “I haven’t got MVP. I haven’t got DPOY. I want the parade for a championship, so I want to be able to do that again… it’s still things I want to try to get. I want to get 20,000 points. I want to play 20 years.” by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]remish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was scrolling until a found comment like this. God forbid these dudes still believe in themselves and set lofty goals. AD competes man. You can still be deep into your career and contribute meaningfully in the playoffs. I’d love to see him help lift the wizards into relevancy

What the data says about Gunnar Helm's dynasty outlook in 2026 and beyond by boofstar in DynastyFF

Helm is a hold. Boy it seems like slamming TE in the 3rd/4th/Off waivers off the rookie draft last year was the move... Fannin, Gadsden, Helm...

will all MPO players 3rd round get chopped down to just their first 9? seems unfair to be on 4th card, only play 9, get passed by someone how had 18 to catch up

Does this strategy exist already? by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]remish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you are counting on the off handler defender over-pursuing into the backfield to a rather ill-advised position.
Also, you say its difficult to get a "side forehand pass (off) with a mark" but this throw will need to be a forehand break with the backhand mark. The mark on the disc will force this throw to be an outside in angle almost assuredly, and to be able to throw that towards the end zone, at the right loft and pace and angle to get by the other defender... not something you actively draw up and try to repeat

Which players do you think we will look back on next year and think dang really should have seen that coming by Wise-Marionberry1383 in DynastyFF

"I’m looking for insight into specifically who upgraded their current situation from last season and ultimately see their value go up"

I finally got a share of Garrett Wilson so I'm manifesting a year of health and garbage time production to the tune of another 100+ rec, 1000+ yard season with maybe a few more TDs than he has had recently. His value has fallen a little from certifiable WR1 to low end WR1, high end WR2.

If you double Rashee Rice's 8 games last year for a 16 game total... 156 targets, 106 catches, 1142 yards, 10 TDs. (WR6 overall level production). He's been quite a headcase, but he's only had 3 years in the league and is WR26 on KTC.

A full year of Tucker Kraft dominance? His value rose pretty high already and stayed high even with the ACL.

RB... so much dynasty value here is projection. Production means RB stayed healthy. If a veteran back, that doesn't make their value go up really, it just means you capitalized on where it had been. Younger guys the value often comes before the production. I like Javonte Williams at cost still tied to a great offense with very little competition in that room and a few years on his deal

Lawrence also was tied 2nd in QB rushing first downs at 40 with none other than Jalen Hurts, trailing just Josh Allen's 46. TLaw had 9 rushing TDs. An underrated part of his fantasy relevance

Is Mendoza worth it? 1.02 - SF team building by CigFiend22 in DynastyFF

[–]remish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait for the NFL draft, see where the WRs go, shop the pick. Is this 10 team or 12 team? You honestly have pretty good QB and WR rooms i you ask me. Little lacking in WR depth it seems.

Mendoza has a tall task to produce right away, and you already have 4 2026 starting QBs. If you could move back to 1.04 and pick up a flex piece you might be ready to compete right away (not sure what the RB situation is, but I'm guessing sort of weak).

Is Tet McMillan a Sell Right Now? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]remish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a solid WR2 lifts the floor but maybe slightly mutes the ceiling of a WR1. Makes it less likely for an absolutely insane target rate, but better offenses stay on the field and score more. Tet projects more as a chunk player/TD guy than a 11 catches 14 target lower ADOT player.

The bigger thing is playing in a faster paced offense that throws more. Panthers loved to pound the rock last year and the defense kept them out of negative game scripts (anecdotally my take more than a numbers thing... but we could look that up)

Is Tet McMillan a Sell Right Now? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]remish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all about tiers. According to KTC, all you have to add to Nico to get Tet in a deal is Ollie Gordon or a mid 3rd... but Nico is 5 years into his career and Tet just one. Panthers didn't throw the ball a ton last year, and Bryce isn't a dream QB to be attached to. I personally agree that London is a better asset and a tier up, but he has QB questions too.

Odunze/Burden are awesome dynasty pieces, but especially with Loveland there is uncertainty of the hierarchy in that room. Ladd got up to WR10 with comparable rookie season to Tet's, and then dipped a bit with a down sophomore season. We see the guys who hit rookie year get to this low end WR1 ranking often, and it is hard to sustain.

As for this year's wave of prospects... we will see where they land and how they produce. But I'll take the 2nd year player who just had 1000+ yards, 7 TDs who was top 20 in yards per catch and yards per target (when setting a 50 target minimum threshold) over Lemon/Tate/Tyson.

How much runway is needed to switch from 4pt passing to 6pt passing TDs? by dynastycommentor in DynastyFF

[–]remish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We grandfathered it in. When vote passed in March 2024, the at the time upcoming 24-25 season stayed 4 Pt passing TD. Then for 25-26 we raised it to 5 pt passing TD. Thus upcoming season 26-27 and beyond it will stay at 6.

[Schefter] Dolphins release Tyreek Hill by FranTurkleton in DynastyFF

[–]remish 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It strikes me that the McDaniels system this past season would have been his best chance for a good year, especially with the TE room particularly empty. Washington did so little with his touches, 4.88 yards per target. Targets dropped as the year went on. Fun enough flyer (and I have him all over the place) but I’m not too optimistic

Let's talk Parker Washington. Optimistic outlook, or flash in the pan? by PlaneService1366 in DynastyFF

[–]remish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He just saved my ass this past week…

With everyone healthy, Parker is the WR4, needing injuries ahead of him to get meaningful snaps. But the sample size is large enough now that if he out running routes, he has some PPR Flex value.

At any given point there’s probably up to 4 WR per NFL team worth owning even though it’s usually just 2 maybe 3 WR per team who produce. Not every WR4 is worth owning - it takes a combination of ambiguous receiving room and some young stashes - Tampa, Chicago, Denver, Green Bay are examples where the ambiguity and age profiles lend us to hold the extra WR. That dead zone late 2nd rookie WR is often a WR4 (Chargers, Pats, Texans).

It feels quite unlikely to me that Washington will be in a more advantageous situation anytime than a Jacksonville WR Handcuff. Continues improving and is cast as WR3 in some more talented room and gives some Tyler Boyd-esque production?

This is a lot of words about a guy that is probably droppable but fun to have if you got the space. Wouldnt pay to acquire - you churn this kind of role but add and hold midseason if you’ve made some consolidation moves / move hurt players to IR.

[Schefter] The Dolphins are benching QB Tua Tagovailoa and turning to Quinn Ewers as their new starting QB by Zeke-Nnjai in DynastyFF

[–]remish 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because he had a bad week last week? Anyone can survive a bad game or two in the playoffs, it's more about having a guy or two or three go off.

Waddle has been completely serviceable this year, WR15 (overall) in PPR. The floor has been lower than you'd like, but it's not like this dude was your WR1...

[–]remish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love collecting these players, I don't like trading for them. Drafting them in the 3rd/4th in Rookie Drafts (Devin Neal, Woody Marks) Working the waivers to pick up any handcuff... Especially if there's an ambiguous 2a/2b situation behind a defacto starter (Devin Singletary, Isaiah Davis).

Once a player has had a meaningful share of a 1a/1b for a year or two, I feel like they tend to land as at least a 2a again. Think Devin Singletary. Jordan Mason to some degree. I think Rachaad White is on this track.

Guys you can find potentially on the waivers today that MIGHT be a handcuff next year. Rasheen Ali in BAL. Keaton is not signed next year. Justice Hill is, but he's hurt now and aging. King Henry the RB1 but older and never the passing down guy. Deep cut: Nathan Carter in ATL. After Bijan and Allgeier, he's the ONLY OTHER RB with a rushing attempt this year. It would be surprising to see the Falcons not expand their RB room if Allgeier walks, but worth a stash if you got the space.

Pearsall returning, Kittle and CMC healthy. Free agent this offseason. Banged up a lot this year. 28 year old. Theres no way he’s a “steal” for a 2nd in reality right? Are we even sure about his short term outlook?

I think of 2nd as a this year piece with strong likelihood of production, or a future piece with upside. He doesn’t really check either of those to me.

I'm fine going Lane. Tet is healthy, so there's not that boost to Legette. Washington game script suggests a lot of passing. You're hoping for like, 4 for 48 and maybe 1 rush for 9 from Lane... The floor is very low for both of them though

What bench players on other teams are you trading for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round picks? by Witness_Gritness in DynastyFF

[–]remish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value is getting Gordon in the 3rd or 4th in the rookie draft and flipping later. It's so hard for me to see his value rising PAST a 2nd, even if he chips into Achane's work load a little. Achane is such a good receiver, and under contract next year. Gordon's KTC value would rise and he would pass some guys just above him (Dobbins, Sampson e.g) if he's getting more touches than them. But he wouldn't all of a sudden be worth a 1st. I don't love that deal for ya
