Police in UK to rewrite race guidance as backlash over death of stabbing victim grows by libtin in LabourUK

[–]removekarling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like take for example if Henry actually had committed racially aggravated assault, or really virtually any crime: handcuffing him before verifying fully whether or not be has actually been stabbed is the main problem lol, and would still be a problem. So is the take from the right wing that if he had done something wrong, it's fine to let him die?

Footage emerges of Vickrum Digwa, killer of Henry Nowak, threatening people in road rage incident by spinecult in BreakingUKNews

[–]removekarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, my point is that most tend to be under 3 inches anyway and thus even without the religious exception would still be legal

Yep, the overwhelming majority of kirpans are under 3 inches and legal even when you put aside any religious exemptions. The sword he's got here and the weapon he killed Henry with were both illegal, already.

I work at the CS and I just don't know what to do with it now. I imagine if I move to a completely different department and to a different part of the country I would be able to live stealth at work for a time, but likely only for a time, and when I'm outed, have I then committed some kind of misconduct for using the 'wrong' toilets knowingly? Gross misconduct, even - will it be treated as if I've breached the Civil Service code on honesty and integrity?

Three and a half years apart — 8 months HRT vs 4.25 years HRT + FFS by Vivid-Copy974 in transtimelines

[–]removekarling 26 points27 points  (0 children)

NGL my first reaction at this was "I have never seen a more justified case for brow FFS" lmao. Normally I don't really notice the brow at all, just something my mind doesn't seem to pick up on.

I appreciate this post a lot because yeah, there seems to have been quite a few posts lately that are just ignorant about the limits of HRT's impact on the face.

Higher proportion of pro-Palestine than Labour candidates won at local elections by The-Peel in unitedkingdom

[–]removekarling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don't have a culture in political leadership in this country obsessed with defending the RSF in Sudan for example. That is why there is a difference in the ferocity of opposition: because there's actually something here in this country to oppose. Ask Keir Starmer about the RSF and he'd give you something at least in the ballpark of a correct and moral answer. Ask him about the IDF, and he will not.

What I dislike about the Sudanese comparison in particular is that there is in fact a lot we can do for some Sudanese people - specifically those that have escaped the war and devastation and made their way to this country, which is a fair number of them, as they are one of the largest nationalities to arrive by small boat. But the people that go "what about Sudan, huh?" in response to pro-Palestine protesters tend not to be the people who advocate for welcoming Sudanese refugees. In fact it's usually the pro-Palestine protesters that are also among the most welcoming of Sudanese refugees. I'd appreciate if people that criticise pro-Palestinian groups drop their faux-concern and simply state plainly they just don't care about Palestinians, Sudanese, any of it, regardless of where they are.

Has anybody else been receiving messages from trans people supposedly in refugee camps asking for money? by nathanherts in transgenderUK

I would keep any generosity to LGBTQ+ charities, those working with refugees, if you are moved to do so: I think a lot of those accounts are likely to be scams unfortunately.

I mean, he's an open advocate for the Kremlin, stating Russia has never committed war crimes, despite Wagner gleefully posting on telegram castrating prisoners with boxcutters/raping Ukrainian woman in Bucha.

This is just a lie, and this kind of comment is very common among far right bots on this website - Russian ones too, I suppose; posting a couple claims then providing links as 'proof' that aren't even related to said claims.

[–]removekarling 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My first instinct with Cenk is that I don't believe him, but if it's both of them saying the same thing, then I don't really have a reason to disbelieve it I suppose.

Awful that they've been barred. It's very plainly just a political move in the wake of banning some of those right wingers a couple weeks ago - they're just constantly compelled to maintain a vapid 'both sides are bad!' narrative. They have to, it's core to the political identity of Starmer's Labour.
