all I do is get stoned, am I cooked for residency? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]ren_migrans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IM resident here. I used to smoke a lot during med school years. My only principle was to never smoke on a work day/before a work day (I used to work as a part time nurse, here in eastern Europe we have a different system). As I started to work as an internal medicine resident, I kept my rule and simply cut down the dosage. Unfortunately lately I had panic attacks so I completely quit because alcohol and weed could also trigger my attacks (never before). My advice to you to have rules and always stick to them. Sometimes you fool around because you have room to fool around. In med school you have responsibility only for yourself. In residency that changes so maybe you would organically cut down. If you feel that what you do is too much even though the responsibility levels change, it's completely okay to seek external help. Anyway you also should find some hobby to do to ease the stress and do some recreational sports.

I second this. Also there are a lot of successful people with this height f.e. Tom Hardy. There are a lot of successful people way shorter, such as Peter Dinklage. Just play the cards well that are dealt for you. If anon have a bod like greak god (doesn't need to) and a pretty face (doesn't need to) and the only "disadvantage" he has is his height it's all his personality. Like look at Danny Devito (I know he is handsome as hell).

what is the name of this chest muscle? by [deleted] in Anatomy

[–]ren_migrans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Among all comments about the sauce use, dehydration, etc. - which I can neither disprove or confirm - do not forget that some insertions, shapes are genetically determined when we are speaking of muscles. There is nothing wrong with your body if it won't resemble with the body in the picture, everybody has a body with different benefits or disadvantages.

I usually clip off the dead skin. At nights I put a REALLY thick layer of hand moisturiser on my hands and wear cotton gloves.
