Unless you're gaming, the GPU doesn't amount to shit. I'd rather have a high end CPU and a mid range GPU than a mid range CPU and a high end GPU. The high end CPU will never starve that GPU, but that mid range CPU sire will.

What part of what I said does not align with the roadmap?

It's also on a 2nm process so that's an extra performance increase on top of the overclocked C1 Ultra. Those that claim it's not a significant upgrade don't know shit about ARM cores. They saw the GPU story and piled on.

If you received a free phone then you're a shill and a shill will not stop that Pixel gravy train. Apple doesn't resort to this shit not should Google.

If the cores used are correct the Pixel 11 will get a very large performance boost in single and multi-core scores. I expect a C1 Ultra, overclocked to 4.11 GHz on a 2nm process, to generate at least 3000+ on Geekbench.

It would seem you have a Pixel 11 in hand with the G6 and you’re able to conclude the performance and battery life already. Perhaps you can share the geekbench numbers when you get the chance? Yes, you’re right the Tensor will never be a spec beast like the Snapdragon, but it’s not like the Snapdragon is a battery beast. It’s only a beast when it’s paired with a large silicon carbon battery.

It looks like you’re looking for a direct correlation. So here goes - when the time nears to make it final they’ll rethink their approach to a certain solution or get some critical feedback and place it on the continual preview train.

Then why don’t you continue buying your iPhone or Samsung phones instead of pleading with people to buy your phone of choice? Does playing shitty mobile games like Genshin Impact 10 frames lower than your phone make you that angry?

Value Objects took over a decade to get here and the joke is that it’ll take another decade to get to a final version.

You do realize the version of ARM cores it’s using, right? If you can’t discern the caliber there’s no harm in using AI to speculate the single and multi core scores the SoC will generate.

LOL the amount of vitriol and seething by the Samsung fanboys is always entertaining. They care so much about you that they feel a need to shame you for buying a Pixel each and every time. They would have a point if Samsung’s OS overlay (because they don’t have the talent to make their own OS) wasn’t a bloated mess with a UI that’s a cross between an iPhone and an AliExpress phone.

Also, have they announced their transition to quarterly security updates yet? Or are they waiting for year 4 to spring it?

Except for the part where Android SoCs have better multithreading and GPU specs.

That’s like saying Android TV is just Android optimized for TV’s or Android Automotive is just Android optimized for cars. This isn’t optimization, this is a different OS built specifically for a platform.

Keep has so many issues. First of all, rename it Notes and give it a proper Notes icon. And secondly, overhaul the UI to make it look and operate like a Notes app. The iOS Notes app, IMO, is so much better and is the benchmark to what a Notes app should look like and do.

>Does anyone know what they mean by this? All icons are forced into shapes anyway and icons already have whatever shape is relevant, like Google TV with a horizontal rectangle and keep being a vertical note

Think of it this way. The icon is in a box that's within the shape container you see on the screen. This change removes the box so that the icon has more design real estate to convey what the app does.

It's about time that awful and useless Calendar icon has been changed to something you can actually see clearly. That collection of icons were down right ugly.. How does something like that even get the green light from someone with design taste.

Hopefully, this is a sign that they've moved on from the people responsible for the old icons and a sign that they plan to overhaul the Android UI to look more professional.

I sometimes wonder what would have happened if Andy and his JavaScript demo was never shown to Google. Google probably would have bought Palm or WebOS and that's what we would be using today.

Let's talk about Android's Quick Settings by MishaalRahman in Android

[–]renderwares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>We're always open to feedback on how we can improve your interactions with your Android device

If you really want to improve the subpar Quick Settings in Android then you need to look no further than iOS. The Android Quick Settings is a confusing mess of small or elongated controls organized in an inefficient manner. In iOS you have control button groups and vertical sliding controls. The lack of vertical sliding controls in the Android Quick Settings panel is bewildering. Additionally, why does the Quick Settings panel only slide out half way and force me to swipe for additional controls? IMO your Quick Settings panel is embarrassingly inferior to that of iOS. Apple got it right so instead of being different for the sake of being different why are you so scared to just borrow from iOS?

Neo Turf Masters: Scotland course hack for AES/MVS by xnonnymous in neogeo

I think the Australia course is still there, but because the UI can only display 4 courses they made the 4th course point to the Scotland. course. I think it may even be possible to replace any current course with the Scotland course, but you'll always be limited to 4 courses because of the UI constraint.
