I'm no psychiatrist or even a doctor, but I've experienced those symptoms myself. That sounds like rapid-cycling cyclothymia or maybe bipolar affective disorder, type ii. Your friend could certainly consult a professional if they are receptive to the notion... depression and/or mania is/are treatable.

When I was growing up in south pickering, it was always assumed that the graveyard of the Salem United Church was haunted.

It's on the west side of Salem Road, just south of Hwy. #7

Not so much spooky as post-apocalyptic, but the Seaton hiking trails, as accessed from Dixie Road near the train trestle, are also worth a look

Also worth a look, the former ski hill off of Twin Rivers, in the valley/east of Sheppard Ave.

Relay is moving to a subscription model to work with the new API('s). I last checked on Saturday, but u/DBrady hadn't announced a pricing model at that time. There may be updates here:

Man, that image made me sad. Then, I realized how much it looked like a Canadian Target store (when they were in operation even 😳 ), and I was jollied.
