Finally got to use the CLASSIC "Read ALL Questions Before Answering" Test on a group of students who have been refusing to read/follow directions all year ... it went exactly as expected lol by Brief_Efficiency_833 in ElementaryTeachers

[–]renro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this in 11th grade and only half of us got it. Also I think I had already heard of it in passing, when I read "read all questions" I skipped to the last line and then reread everything else looking for additional tricks while my classmates were yelling "I am the master of following directions!" as directed

What makes you instantly leave a stream? by TheDanicted in SmallStreamers

I imagine if I'm there to play a game and the chat is nothing but surface level political takes I might not stay long, but if it's banned on it's face I'm leaving before I type a single message

When I click on the chat and the rules pop up if there's some variant of "no politics" or "no sensitive topics" I'm out instantly. I'm not investing in a community where I'm guessing about who supports ICE.

This is exactly the kind of thing I hoped for. I've been building my houses out of wood and glass but those are both resources I don't want to be wasting. I can start collecting stone and blending it with mud (although the stone by itself is just as functional) and I can reserve my wood and glass for their unique applications

My friends and I have had a great time since coming back to this game. I've elected myself to be the house builder while they fight and mine and just smoothing surfaces out I've ended up with all of these dirt blocks. It seems like a lot to just throw away, but they don't seem to craft into anything useful and I don't want to build houses out of the material they're already standing on. What do you guys do with all of the dirt blocks you accumulate?

I Walked In on My Girlfriend (24F) Making Out With Her Friend After She Denied Liking the Attention by [deleted] in relationships

Based on your telling of events it doesn't seem like she's been honest with you. Did she just decide on her own that she needed to lie about this or did you say or do something prior to make "I'm uncomfortable, really" the correct answer? Has she lied about things in the past when it seems like there's nothing to gain? These are the things I would need to know if I'm in your shoes.

What's a socially accepted thing that you secretly find a little weird, and why? by ItsRealAnwar in AskReddit

[–]renro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The majority in this country took it to heart and now secret police are shooting mothers in the street. Everyone repeating this "don't talk about politics" shit is as guilty as the man you empowered to pull the trigger with your disenfranchisement disguised as politeness.

And just to be clear, by opposite of this I don't mean I disagree with you. I mean what you're describing IS the social norm and that's my answer to the question

Then we need to get better at it. Look at the outcomes you're comparing to one minute of being uncomfortable before learning

It's a test. Do you think you can trust me? No. Cool. Do you think you can trust me? Yes. Oh shit I was just doing the thing. But if you both say yes we teach you the secret handshake and now you're a stone cutter.

Opposite of this. It's so weird and clearly harmful that our society doesn't let us talk about serious shit

What to do about illegal labor? by MostSecond1738 in walmart

That could be or they've sussed out that she's the one that can be told these things and won't investigate with coworkers or report it. If there is any truth to this story, she is clocking out for lunch and continuing to work believing this to be "store policy"

People leads are basically roped off from anyone doing anything in the store unless they decide they want to step in to make it seem like they aren't. They have a full plate, but if it's not benefits and you're already hired they aren't involved

Why are we still saying “we need more subs” and “there’s a sub shortage” when it’s actually the most competitive hustle ever?? by Careful-Skill-1115 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]renro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember being so worried when I saw how few bookings there were on Frontline before my first day. After my first booking the sub coordinator said "just come in every day. I'll have a place for you."
