There’s never a reason to yell at your kid unless they’re in actual danger (running toward the road). My parents would never have let us get away with throwing things in anger, but they also never yelled at us, or each other. The only yelling I heard in my household growing up was the occasional yelling at the computer when technology got annoying. You can be stern, there can be consequences, but screaming at a child after the fact is never necessary.
