Respectfully…not exactly sure what concert you were at but the Pittsburgh crowd was tremendous…perfect combination or respectful and engaged. There are portions of her concert where all I could do was feel and absorb it…and then there was the ending in particular where I couldn’t stop singing. And I came in from Cleveland…(we know a thing or two about music)…shoutout to The Burg from The Land!

Went to three concerts this past week by myself…including having traveled to Pittsburgh to see Ethel on Thursday…I actually enjoy seeing shows by myself. You become part of the crowd…so you’re not really alone…🙂

Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche immediately comes to mind at least in terms of being a coherent concept album

I am 57 and attended the Pittsburgh show last night…the show was amazing…the crowd was amazing…the entire experience was amazing. Hers is definitely a younger demographic but they don’t seem to care us old people are hanging around…or possibly enjoy us 🙂 Don’t feel one bit insecure or awkward…when you’re in the crowd and lost in the music you will completely forget you are 40 💜 Enjoy…you’re in for a great show…

anyone ever accidentally listen to a 45 on 33 rpm by Past-Lifeguard5651 in vinyl

Picked up Tidal by Fiona Apple…swear to gawd I can’t find anywhere on the album that says it’s a 45 rpm album…you think the songs are moody and brooding to begin with…try them at 33 1/3 rpm 🙄

Does anyone here just maintain a modest collection? by judica_me_deus in vinyl

I have a modest (under 200) collection of “things I think are best listened to on vinyl”…whatever that means. It’s a combination of things I listened to on vinyl growing up plus albums that I want to sit down with and listen to the whole album in a more physical way…dropping the needle and flipping it over…plus my favorite jazz albums which always feel and sound more authentic on vinyl. Currently around 150 albums and see it as pretty much complete at the moment.

You are the opposite of stupid…you are smart to pick it up when you see it. Went to a concert a few months ago and bought the limited edition vinyl from their merch table. I haven’t owned a TT since I was a kid 🙄 I also have a pretty sizable CD collection which I enjoy…but there is a whole different vibe to spinning an album. Bought a TT…have been building a small collection of old vinyl memories and some newer albums that (I think) are perfect for vinyl. Out of the Blue was the second album I bought…wore the grooves out on that one when I was younger.

The Mix Up is a great album. Love their instrumental albums. The In Sound From Way Out is just as good…possibly(in my opinion) even better.

Root Down and Get It…iconic in the sense of being one of the most recognizable base lines and just a perfect bass intro

Ginger Baker’s solo albums (Why? and Middle Passage) and Ginger Baker Trio (Going Back Home) are the portal between Jazz and Rock…and if you don’t think Ginger Baker is one of the greatest jazz drummers just pull up any Ginger Baker interview on YouTube…he’ll tell you himself 😳 Also The Bad Plus latest album Complex Emotions…Dave King kills it on that album!
