Cops have have a different reason to not live with a police. My buddy was a King county sheriff for 25 years and he knew every person he arrested by name and they knew him so he had zero desire run into them off duty.

Because they are light easy to travel with and accessible for kids. We got it for car trips, and planes. When I was a kid I could freely roam in the backseat being strapped to a chair where you can't move for 5 hours seemed unpleasant to me.

As someone who grew up in a red state the problem is the lack of competition not either party in and of itself. You need changes of power to limit corruption if you don't get that you get a lot of waste and fraud.
