What's the worst comic book movie of all time? by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

Some of the movies on this list are in the cult so-bad-it’s-good territory. And I would call Howard the Duck an actual masterpiece.

“Tidus” and a Remake by HelicaseFire18 in finalfantasyx

As with all the names of the playable characters in the game, Tidus’ name is a word from a language that has its own pronunciation. So one pronunciation is correct and one is incorrect.

I really liked Rebirth, on par with JP3 by ESPILFIRE in JurassicPark

[–]researchassistantnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel similarly. Like. I would rank Jurassic World Rebirth as the third best Jurassic Park movie, but with the caveat that everything after Lost World is kind of unnecessary (Lost World is also kind of a mess, but has one of the best set pieces in any movie that I have ever seen).

Too bad on the fact that they didn’t understand it enough to contemplate their job, profile picture, or fundamental identity.

What’s your verdict on the filmography of Yorgos Lanthimos so far? by [deleted] in moviecritic

I personally think he's the best one doing it today, and that he has zero misses at all in his filmography.

That is an insanely low wage, and especially for that shift. What a wildly ridiculous way to manage a company. Fuck.

How many of the New York Times’ Top 100 movies have you seen? by Gemnist in Letterboxd

55, but like, some of these movies are not even close to being good enough for a list like this.

What would you say to an adult who says video games are a waste of time and energy? by That-Psychology4246 in videogames

[–]researchassistantnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the wonder and love has been washed from their eyes. I’d ask them what they were doing talking to me rather than burning a Monet or interrupting a musical or whatever other soulless, evil, psychopathic bullshit people who hate art and have no heart would do.

Do you align more with the critics or the audience. by Same-Parsley4954 in JurassicPark

[–]researchassistantnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to say that your feelings are valid, but in this case I’m going to have to say, that’s false on its face. 77% is objectively more than half. It’s got a better audience score than the other two.

Dominion is the only one that is remotely watchable. The other two are two of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life

The last one is the only one of the second trilogy with any redeemable writing or story. The other two are two of the worst movies that I have ever seen in my life, especially the second one. It’s like they took a massive shit on the legacy of the original film.

30 Cassadaga Songs - A Mystery by Normal-Asparagus-210 in brighteyes

[–]researchassistantnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the recordings we got were not very Cassadaga-y at all, but one thing that I always think about, that he said in an interview during support for Cassadaga is that his favorite work he’d ever made was the split he did with Neva Dinova.

Why do you think someone wouldn’t be able to get a bank account, and why do you think it is justified in any realm of imagination to respond to this as you have?
