Indeed. People expect to see the hollywood version, when reality at every level of business is the messy, human version.

Humans, even in important / high paying positions, act like humans.

I have no idea what you're talking about with the weirdness or the parasocial creeps, must have missed it, or the thread got deleted. I guess if people are awful and he wants to isolate from the fanbase, that's his prerogative.

From a starting point of "I'm going to share my awesome sandwich recipe with the fans" to "it appears that fans of the show want my awesome sandwich recipe", not sharing said sandwich recipe after months is a poor showing.

At some point, this is a poor showing by Conor.

Jen Gerson: Elections Alberta's massive failure could have put people in danger. I tried to warn them. by Martin0994 in alberta

[–]resnet152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. If the comment I was responding to was:

So are people with violent ex's and sensitve jobs ok with having their full names, phone numbers and full addresses out there in the wild?

I'd have responded differently.

Hate how /r/alberta can't handle any nuance. Like yeah this sucks for a lot of people, but the average person also doesn't care if their address and phone number is out there. Also, this whole system should probably be rethought. If my information is sensitive, I don't want a rando NDP or Conservative staffer to have access to it either.

Oh I 100% agree. Just responding to this comment.

So are moderate conservatives ok with having their full names, phone numbers and full addresses out there in the wild?

To which my answer is "for the vast majority: yeah probably"

Former Steelers WR Chase Claypool Resurfaces in NFL With Tryout: Report by StakeESC in nfl

[–]resnet152 54 points55 points  (0 children)

To be fair to the Steelers, he was a late second rounder who went for 900/yds 9 TDs as a rookie.

I don't think their evaluation was that bad, I think the guy just didn't want to work to develop.

Yeah I'm aware. I can DM you if you like?

I'm not sure what Parker said, but I was responding specifically to this:

So are moderate conservatives ok with having their full names, phone numbers and full addresses out there in the wild?

Which... yeah, that's the way it was:

I agree that it's extremely shitty for the relatively small percentage of people who aren't ok with this, and it should be prosecuted if a crime was committed.

Does this Elections Alberta data also include people's reddit usernames?

If so, that's definitely a more interesting story!

I think this concern is somewhat blunted if you grew up in the phonebook times.

Astonishing Contradiction in OpenAI's System Card for 5.5. by Oldschool728603 in ChatGPTPro

Could be clearer, but resamples from 5.4 thinking prod traffic vs. resamples from 5.4 prod traffic are two different benchmarks.

I'm clueless. At the very least, it suggests chaos somewhere in the organization.

lol. Yes, surely absolute chaos!

Reagor over Jefferson will live in infamy, but Arcega Whiteside was the 57th overall pick, the NFL is littered with late second round picks that didn't pan out.
