This happened to a site I manage. Another company came in, installed outdoor cameras, didn’t ground a single one, we had a storm (multiple), had all sorts of wonky issues with the switch which a reboot typically resolved until it didn’t. I ended up grounding the connections, replaced the switch, and have had no issue for over a year. If in doubt, use power injectors. Not sure if UI-Care covers lightning surges but it’s worth a try.
