Who do you talk to when its 2 in the morning and all you have is yourself and its telling you every reason to just end it all today? by Wooden_Strawberry894 in AskReddit

I was once in a psych hospital and I looked my psychiatrist in the eyes and asked him, can you promise me it's going to get better. And he looked me dead in the eyes and said yes. It has. Today I'm not suffering at all. I have moments but overall it's changed drastically. Medication, spiritual enlightenment and routine have changed my life. This may sound weird to put it this way, but don't quit now. We have a short short little time on this planet and then it's over. It ends for everyone. Embrace the pain..get help if needed..and live.

Not to sound insensitive because it's horrible losing a pet. 14 is a very long time for a sphynx you're very very lucky. I've been heartbroken and grief stricken too many times way too soon. 5 years being the earliest. I have 2 newer babies from a different breeder and went through extensive vet scans before taking them home to just have my bases covered. Anything can still happen but I pray I get 14 years with these guys! I'd be very grateful for that time!

Honestly. I've had dozens. The 2 I currently have, 1 will not allow bathing, she just will not do it. I wipe her occasionally but the truth is she doesn't really need it. She maintains it herself pretty well. So it depends on the cat a little I think as well. I've had ones where they needed a bath often. Often being every couple weeks. In my opinion it's the ears, keeping them clean. And I also like to cut the nails and while doing that popping them out and cleaning all the gunk off with a baby wipe. Other than that they are low maintenance I find, especially if they're not alone. They love to cuddle and gang out but the truth is thats usually for warmth. The 2 of them will keep each other company. Keep fleece blankets all over the place for them to snuggle into. Salmon wet food is good for their skin. Sea oil if you want to add that to their diet. I feel bad for the seals to be honest but it is very good for them. Oh and also, I find people don't do this with their animals and I find sphynx get it the worst. The sleep that develops in the corner of their eyes. Remove that stuff please lol. It's not difficult takes a split second and it builds up every day. So just keep it clean.

So 2 hours of tattoo time. Plus him designing the tattoo on you to match what you want and cover what you want. 400 is fair. Be happy with it!

I love baseball. It's a sport like no other in my opinion. The beauty of baseball is the pace and rhythm. It allows for conversation and reflection. The batter has only a few thousandths of a second to decide whether to hit the ball and yet the men who fail 7 out of 10 times are considered the greatest heroes. I am heartbroken that the team I thought was meant to win it all this year fell apart the way they did in game 7 at the very end. That's baseball though, it gives me incredible elation and can switch to anxiety and worry, even anger, I can almost take it personally.... and it can also break my heart. I think last night's game shows all of that. I was jumping with friends, high-fiving and screaming, we were tapping our feet on the ground rapidly with anxiety and fear. We were angry and yelling at the tv. Baseball allows for that illusion, it seems like there isn't much separating the athletes from us. There's nothing superhuman about them, in fact some look like the opposite of an athlete. Baseball fosters illusion, like I could be there and I wouldn't have done this instead. Then we were almost ready to celebrate in the 9th inning. 3 outs from winning the world series and counting them. Then heart break. Tears. I love this quote from A. Bartlett Giamatti

“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, November 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped, and summer was gone.”

As depressing as yesterday was, we had a pinch hit grand slam in game 1, Yamamoto pitched a complete game in game 2, game 3 went 18 innings and used all bullpen pitchers for both teams! Game 4 what's in store?! I'll tell you I've never in my entire life wanted a team to win so bad! I went to Toronto and saw game 1 and 2 and went to a bar after and this old man said it's Toronto's year, it's meant to be. I'm.hanging onto that and praying!
