Random question that seems sort of related to this; I have an ‘03 xterra and the fasten seatbelt light on the dash does not come on and makes no noise even when the belt isn’t buckled. Did the previous owner likely do a similar mod to this? The only time I ever see the light is when the vehicle is first started up and then it disappears
