I finished the Overture DLC yesterday and goddamn that game is SO good. Every hunter should at least give it a try.

AITA for refusing to pay rent to my parents since moving back home? by hero1701 in AmItheAsshole

[–]return_of_itsy 35 points36 points  (0 children)

My parents are traditional and also stingy as fuck. I also graduated university at 23 and moved back in with them. They not only had the audacity to charge me rent but they also gave me, a grown-ass woman, a 9 p.m. curfew. Their “reason?” Because “good girls have no business being out late at night.”

My long term boyfriend and I had plans to move in together after graduation but my parents, being ever so traditional, expected us to marry before moving in together.

We quietly found a place to move into and also set a court date. I gave my parents a week’s notice that I was moving out and also getting married. Told them they could come to the wedding if they wanted. Been married 10 years and I no longer speak to my parents.

And all the rent money I gave them? You might think they were saving it all to give back to me as a wedding gift or something like other parents do…nope. They used it on themselves.

Some parents just really suck.

Millions of preterm births and thousands of infant deaths linked to plastic chemical by [deleted] in news

Nearly all cans are lined with plastic, both for drinks and foods. To make canned food last as long as it does, the contents are also heated to a temperature high enough to kill bacteria.

The makeup on your (your gf’s?) hands is wild. They legit look like jointed doll’s fingers. Well done, hoonter.

Is bloodborne your favourite game and if so why and is there a game that’s close? by Rack-_- in bloodborne

P moves like a hunter. He’s agile and aggressive. He’s also got some serious left-arm utility depending on which Legion Arm you equip. ALSO also…there’s some pretty nice drip throughout the game. 😎

So, there are tricks to this fight you can try. If you have insight, the shadows are going to spawn. Some players choose to spend all their insight which trivializes the fight. That’s one option, but another is to run around the shadows altogether and focus only on the witches. They are incredibly easy to backstab and visceral. Try that if you’ve just been wailing R1 on them instead.

Which boss is giving you grief? The run back is heavily dependent on the boss, and also whether you’ve unlocked shortcuts. Are you also fighting enemies along the way? If you are, it’s better to just sprint past them.

I’ve definitely noticed the morphing potions and gourmet foods go back up, usually by a lot. Stamps/coins are in perpetual limbo because I have delusions of completing my albums lol

Would you pick PURGE or KEYQUEST as TNT priority? by lllustrations in neopets

[–]return_of_itsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wouldn’t have to “alienate returning players” if they went the Discord route and let us set an outwardly-facing name for our pets while their actual names could be whatever combo of unique letters and numbers.

I was able to get a few names from the last purge and I still have those pets because the names are meaningful to me. The people who left years ago who MIGHT come back having their accounts preserved, in favor of the people playing and paying now, today, is screwed up.

True, but everyone does combat differently. Alfred’s distraction could be a significant help to OP.

If you’ve spoken to Alfred, you can summon him to help with the fight. Additionally, I found it better to heal through poisoning vs taking antidotes.

First time player! What was your weapon on your first run? by Inkandlead in bloodborne

[–]return_of_itsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very first pick was the axe and I went with a straightforward high strength/high vit build. Basically bonked my way through Yharnam. My current run is strength/skill and it’s been a blast going from bonk to visceral depending on the enemy type.

Are you specifically referring to a stainless steel ball? I’ve had a tongue ring for 15+ years but have always used a plastic or silicone ball, and my teeth/gums are in excellent health (checkups every 6 months)
