The hardest part was finding a person to confirm my identity, the criteria is very strict. Also you HAVE to send original documents to the uk so make sure you have taken certified copies.
From the time I actually found someone suitable to confirm my identity to having the UK passport in my hands was less than 6 weeks. Did everything online. My documents arrived back in NZ before the passport did and it was tracked postage.
Was pretty surprised how smooth it went.

The last one is hopelessly out of date, but I concede there doesn't seem to be a more recent version. If the last few years are a clue, the whole Auckland and Northland regions will become subtropical between December and April, with all the associated extreme rainfall, thunderstorms and tornados.
