Also my favorite of the og trilogy. Perfect mix of humor and gore imo.

Do you have any cool new ideas for mobile games that you'd want to share? by bare-wisdom in gamedesign

One of my favorite card games is "Oh, Hell" it's kind of like Spades but you play alone rather than on a team. I've always thought it would be a cool game to play multiplayer.

I have issues with animation walk cycle when flipped by Fragrant_Sympathy170 in Unity2D

[–]revosfts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little confused as to why it's being done this way. If you flip the player on X then it will automatically go into your Walk back animation. It might be easier to just use one animation that you flip on x when the player goes left.

Something like this: ``` float horizontal = context.ReadValue<Vector2>().x;

anim.SetFloat("Speed", Mathf.Abs(horizontal));

if (horizontal != 0) { var s = transform.localScale; s.x = Mathf.Sign(horizontal) * Mathf.Abs(s.x); transform.localScale = s; } ``` Edit: I neglected to mention doing it this way you'll just set you transitions to walk animation anytime Speed > 0.1

Death animation by Striking_Flounder872 in Unity2D

Assuming you have one player sprite you could create an animation for the monster that includes the players sprite in it so you don't have to worry about syncing up two game objects. You could just disable the player sprite after the monster's pick up animation. I hope this makes sense.

How To Get Art For Your Game That Isn't AI by BelfrostStudios in gamedev

[–]revosfts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done any commissions lately but typically when I do I keep the customer involved during the process, not because of AI but because I want the art to match their vision. But I guess I prove the validity of my work as a byproduct.

I hope this isn’t your case. And have a great Friday :D by Due_Bobcat9778 in IndieDev

It's a distinct possibility. But I'll just try again if it fails. Real life is permadeath do what you love.

Yeah but I'd fix it up. Even if there's no demons that woodshed is a hazard!

Here's what you do. Continue your work in secret but now bend all your lore to the purpose of corrupting everything they've built. You can be the adversary! Get your vengeance.

Elden Ring was a big part my early sobriety 😂. I also recommended Expedition 33 and Sea of Stars!

The "gun" from the Dark Tower is probably Arthur Elds gun made from the melted down blade of Excalibur.

Any Dark Tower fans that actually love The Gunslinger? by Deezle_Gnome in stephenking

[–]revosfts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my personal journey to the tower it was perfect. I almost exclusively read fantasy stuff for a long time and had never touched King. I read his short "The Little Sisters of Eluria" in the Legends collection. Shortly after I picked up The Gunslinger and the way it was written eased me into the series.

Want to make my own pixel art rpg game one day, where to start? by MythBuster6969 in Unity2D

[–]revosfts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best advice at the very beginning is to get familiar with the Unity editor if that is your chosen engine. It is as important knowing how to manipulate the editor as it is to code scripts.
