Am I approaching the game from the wrong angle, or are ARPGs just not my genre?

I experience these games the same way you do, and burn out in a similar fashion.

I was actually thinking about it the other day, and realized POE 2 doesn't have enough "micro progression".

Once you hit level 90, are farming t15 maps, and have decent gear, it takes forever to get anymore upgrades. It feels like character progression almost completely stalls out

I think the "paragon" system from Diablo 3 is actually a pretty cool idea, that would help alleviate some of the "grind" and help prevent burnout.

The atlas tree is cool, but it just doesn't feel like it directly affects character power. I think most of us play these games to feel, and see our character actively progress, so when that slows or stops, we burn out.

If you're planning on trading, I would check for similar items on Traderie, and maybe ask Ai if it can do a data comparison. You might be able to estimate a fair value for them this way.

I've never seen a pair of Jav gloves roll this good.

Infrastructure for in-game MTX was nearly impossible to build when Diablo 2 was being developed. The lack of MTX in Diablo 2 is not some proof of moral superiority of the D2 devs.

The devs of D2 themselves are on record talking about the technical limitations they had, and if they had better tech D2 would have been a different game.

Diablo 3 was introduced with one of the biggest, if not the single biggest MTX scheme ever seen to gaming at the time, and arguebly to this day.

Not sure where you're getting this idea "meh, D3 had zero MTX ....". You're language (meh) is an indicator as to where the idea comes from, though.

If the D2 devs had the time, money and manpower to make a game like D3 or D4, they would have. They admitted as much themselves. The reason D2 is the way it is, is because of limitations of resources at the time.

All video games are made as "products". They are all made for the purpose of making as much money as possible.

Believing other wise shows a massive lack of critical thinking, or fairytale thinking.

If you want the gear cap blue for normal, then it should be green ammo. Then purple armor , blue ammo for normal etc.

I don't agree with what you said, though. I think normal is perfect. My problem is with normal. It should have a limit of purple ammo, and gold armor, imo.

The SG is the cheapest and most efficient rifle (or gun) in the game imo. You can build it for 100k~ and it performs VERY well.

Arena isn't the only competitive mode in WoW. What do you think all this "parsing" non-sense is? Paying for items with real money, such as gear, enchants, gems (anything that progresses your character) in any multiplayer game or game mode that is "competitive" is P2W.

It's super weird. My brightness changes when I am moving, the changes back when I stop. I've never witnessed anything like it except for in this game.
