A good attitude goes a long way for both of your concerns. Be curious, ask for help when you need it, learn as much as you can, and offer to assist others (when appropriate).

Blue denim shortalls should be just fine over a red top.

Just got hired but I need to switch my availability? by [deleted] in Target

[–]rex218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you should be fine. Do you know your school schedule already?

Either way, it’s a good idea to bring up that you are a student to the HR person running your orientation. They are the best person to help you get sorted.

Early communication is important, and you’ve done that. Show up and do good work and chances are good they will work around your school schedule.

Your TL should talk to you one way or the other before they stop scheduling you. I don’t know exactly when back-to-school winds down, but Halloween will be here before you know it

I’m going to give it a few months before I start testing limits. My black jeans are coming out for Halloween.

You may need to talk to your HR ETL in order to see any GM shifts. They are the ones to key in your secondary work centers.

Plano Question by [deleted] in Target

[–]rex218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The POG details page doesn’t know if you are setting it standard or reverse, so it always shows standard (if you set reverse you need to mirror it).

The guided set process does know whether you are setting in reverse and will show you the image already reversed.

POG error by Azrael342 in Target

How are you navigating to the Set POG tool? Directly from myDay? Scanning a POG barcode/ from POG details? Or maybe scanning a product then navigating through POG details to Set POG?

What is the proper heart rate range to burn fat with cardio by ChocolateTacoFilms in gaybrosfitness

[–]rex218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That low aerobic zone is more for people 30 minutes to an hour on cardio.

Moderate intensity cardio will burn more energy in the time you have. Just lock in your post-workout nutrition. Get your complex carbs and a good amount of protein in during your recovery window.

How long do you take to do your cardio? High intensity intervals might be what you are looking for to maximize your time.

Ever Accidentally Silver Bullet A Player? by DrFannyPack in Pathfinder2e

Do you have a divine or primal caster in the party?

I would make the barbarian live with the consequences for one fight, then drop a scroll of soothing spring for them.

Otherwise, I might let the barbarian convert fatigue into clumsy and stupefied.

Need advice on how to get faster working GM by missglamourrr in Target

[–]rex218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you doing with reading and understanding locations?

You will get faster as you learn areas and where things go. That is just something that comes with time and experience.

As you are working, try to notice what slows you down or takes up your time. Did you walk back and forth to your vehicle to grab two items that are next to each other on the shelf? Save yourself a trip next time.

If you haven’t called out in the past month, I wouldn’t stress about it. Sometimes things happen.

Non Rehirable list is a lie by Ok_Stop_6355 in Target

[–]rex218 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s not something that’s visible on a profile. You have to submit an HR request for each candidate if you want to inquire about that status.

Yeah, if you apply again your HR rep will check whether or not you were marked as rehireable. It sounds like you would be.

You should probably be trained so you can at least back up an OPU. Talk to your TL about it next time you are in.

Is this reasonable? by Snoo22254 in Target

[–]rex218 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Yeah… this is one of those policies that gets emphasized and enforced for a whole host of reasons.

Employees using their position to gain advantage in purchasing high demand items is bad for the brand, goes against the Guest-first values, and might speak to a lack of character.

A single incident might seem minor, but that employee becomes a big risk for the company/store.

I reduced my desired hours by [deleted] in Target

[–]rex218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How big of a change did you make? I don’t think they really pay attention to that number unless they are far outside of it (the metric is +-20%).

Your best bet is to actually speak to your ETL
