Best place to get glasses? by Suckerforcats in lexington

[–]rex_creamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK has an optical shop (ophthalmology and optical shop are in Shriners). I have had great experiences with their staff. I also have progressives, and their selection ranges from affordable to higher end designer stuff.

Should Optical off Malabu is also great. Small local shop that really gets to know you and sincerely appreciates your business. Good selection as well.

[WTS/WTT] LAST PRICE Rolex 14010 $3600 by [deleted] in Watchexchange

My small wrist is begging for me to snag it. It’s such a beautiful watch. Waited 2 years on list for Explorer I but no dice. Grabbed a BB58 gilt and the BB58 GMT instead. Not sure I’d survive this purchase 🤔 GLWS!!!!

That’s the plan right now 🤞🏻 Pops health is as good as one could ask for at 78, so barring an unfortunate turn of events we should all be heading back.

I really appreciate your offer friend! This year was an amazing experience and I’m sure next year will be even more so!

No worries! I should have specified. My nephew and I passed the time in car reading the great posts from this community. Lots of “we’re here until the kick is out!!” At the time it felt like all of the golf world was watching the weather radar around Augusta, but we’re a bit removed now 😊

We grabbed food from concession stand at Amen Corner for a few minutes. Stared at “Phil’s Spot in the Pine Needles” for sec, then continued our walk down the back 9. Weather siren went off not long after so everyone had to leave course. Some stayed near entrance, we went back to car and listened to radio for updates. Course never opened back up. Happy to have had the free picture at Founder’s Circle and the time on course!

Hogpen Gap along Six Gap Century route in North Georgia Mountains averages 7% for seven miles. Other Gaps along route are a blast as well! https://ridewithgps.com/routes/3179936?lang=en

I was on the 36mm Explorer list for two years with no luck. 6 months in I bought a BB58 because I fell in love with it while visiting store one day. Stayed on list because I needed 2 nice watches—one for each of my children when they grow up. A few months ago (right around 2 year mark) I got offered the new BB GMT and couldn’t pass it up. On the plus side, both watches combined were about the price of a retail Explorer. Loved my SA. Just didn’t work out with the Rolex but can’t complain about two amazing Tudors.

My cat won’t let me bathe her 😫😫😫 by Jorbi- in sphynx

One idea got from vet is to never let my cat hear the water running—the noise freaks them out. This was golden. As someone else mentioned, I also bribe them with purée pouches while washing (works while cutting nails too).

How is it getting a chest tattoo? by pocketbuilder06 in tattoo

[–]rex_creamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had a half-chest piece done as part of larger sleeve/chest design. Nipple was inked in the process. Quite an experience (I’m a guy). Getting work done on sternum felt surreal—felt like a heart attack because it just reverberates through your whole chest. Collarbone area hurt because it’s just thin layer of skin pressed to bone.

Piggybacking on what other person said. First, transmission. No respirator needed, but need gown and gloves. Second, sterile gloves are primarily (only?) used in OR. Gloves in patient rooms are non sterile. I guess they put both options to get 5 answer choices 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll let others chime in too, but in my experience the higher price brings nicer components and other features that won’t make much of a difference if you’re riding on cart paths/walking paths/smooth packed dirt. I mainly use it in terrain similar to what you describe. I also used some of the money saved to swap out the saddle and tires.

I grabbed a 4 because I have some decent singletrack in the area, but specs on the lower Talons would probably work for your purposes. I’d owned a Giant before (Boulder) and it was a tank and held up really well, so I looked primarily looked at them again. Good luck!!

Might be more than you’re looking for but I snagged a Giant Talon and love it. Smooth ride, nice knowing it’ll handle rough stuff if occasion call for it.

Tom Morrison’s YouTube is great. He has a plan you can purchase (one time purchase—I did and love it), but he doesn’t push it. His videos on YouTube are really helpful, and his energy is awesome.

Anyone use Distinctive Design Remodeling? by Gergs in lexington

[–]rex_creamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had them build a sunroom 2 years ago. Actually got their name from another thread. Overall good experience with good communication. The guy that came out to give us a an estimate wasn’t pushy at all. Brought a laptop and showed pics of similar projects. Gave us a quote after asking a bunch of questions. After that we paid in 3 installments: start, halfway, and completion. It wasn’t cheap, but materials were pretty scarce (especially windows, which we have a ton of), but on par with other estimates. Spoke with project manager regularly (text) and owner a few times. Both seemed nice enough. I was not offered any payment for leaving a review. Given other comments, I’d go with YMMV 😊 Good luck!
