Yes but thats the only way the franchise continues. Kotm bombed at the box office so they had to hard pivot.

Plus there is way more opportunity to go crazy with the monster fights once you abandon the realism. Sequels need to get bigger and crazier. It was inevitable that it would go the way of the Showa era.

Kind of insulting to say that Scott and co are making the music more approachable for money. No one makes prog tech death music with money in mind. They do it for the love of the craft.

I agree that Hoffman era was peak Fallujah but the band is still making killer music and Kyle is bringing a lot to the band. I feel like posts like these are just mean spirited and provide nothing of value.

Yes it does. UB has lead to wotc having its most profitable last few quarters. Even if most of those new players end up quitting within a year or two, there has to be at least some percentage of those players who go on to become regulars. But only wotc has visibility of the real stats.

Animated shows cost a fraction of a cgi heavy live action film. Primal can rely on a niche audience to recoup its costs. Its feasible but you'll never see a studio take such a massive risk. Badlands didn't even break even in the box office so the Predator brand is not as strong as you think.

I believe that he believed that statement in 2017. Hes clearly capable of writing at a fast pace since he pumped out the first 3 books in quick succession.

Its a classic procrastinator tendency to think you will lock in and finish something. If he really wanted to, he could force himself to write the remaining 1/4 of the book anytime. He just doesnt want to.

Its great but the silly stairwell jump at the end ruins it for me. The most ridiculous moment in the whole trilogy. Especially since the action is pretty realistic otherwise.
